Illinois politicians for generations have operated with the belief that Illinois voters are stupid people who’ll believe anything they’re told.

And they've been right. Probably be right again this time.

She’s been pounded, as many as three mail pieces from Rayner’s campaign in one day. From Ives, a 40 page book “The Governor You Don’t Know”. Written by the Chairman of the Chicago Republican Party, devastating to Rauner...Diana Rauner, that is. The Governor no one knows.

See for your self. Here is Rauner's expression just as the "debate" concludes.

One of the “joys” of living in SE Missouri is we get to see/hear lots of ads for elections we have no say in. Lots of Illinois ads, Kentucky ads and an occasional Tennessee ad. The Illinois Democrat is promising to raise taxes on the “rich”, because apparently Illinoisans are under taxed right now.

Illinois politics are completely controlled by Chicago/Cook county. Southern Illinois has to take whatever scraps are leftover. They’re in pretty bad shape.

We hear these ads all the time on the radio. The Ives ads are pretty good, they use facts about Rauner. His are so lame that they, by themselves, have convinced me that my vote should go to Ives. No facts, and even the quotes by Ives in them do not put her in a bad light. Very poorly done ads, almost as if they were secretly for Ives.

Kass lays it out like it is in of all places The Chicago Tribune.Ives has attacked Rauner on Abortion and making Illinois into a semi “sanctuary state” and has been able to get the story out through some very effective and direct talking commercials which has had the RINOS like Brady (IL GOP Chair) denouncing them .

Rauner is toast even if he does manage to win the primary.

It was Rauner who used Madigan as a shield in that debate, constantly bringing up Madigan almost every time he was asked a question he didn’t like. And Ives mocked him for it, saying, “There he goes, attacking Madigan again,” and so on.

Rauner took her mockery and twisted it.

I knew those ads were BS - now I know why. Good post!
