Sorry, but I don’t see jeff sessions doing anything. Too busy appeasing the other RINO’S and the Washington establishment. Just my personal opinion.

Sessions won’t do it. Rosensweasel is the AG and he sure as hell won’t either. The only chance for Justice is for Trump to appoint an SC.

According to Gaetz, an Inspector General’s report would be insufficient given the report doesn’t necessarily mean charges would be brought by the Justice Department against wrongdoers.

“If Jeff Sessions does not appoint a second special counsel, then we need a new Attorney General, judge,” he said. “Because you’re right — even if we learn more horrifying things from the Inspector General, we can’t actually prosecute somebody for those things because we would need somebody to be able to bring that case. And the Department of Justice and FBI obviously won’t be bringing a case against themselves. So, Jeff Sessions needs to get rid of this mindset that is a dereliction of duty, and he needs to do what Congress has called for and appoint a second special counsel to get to the bottom of this.”

None of us know what’s going on behind the scenes. Trump is extremely smart: he knows how the many Clinton (and other mob family) corruption cases have gone. This could be played differently.

IMHO, they’re waiting for the Horowitz IG report to pile on to the Congressional work by Nunes/Goodlatte/Grassley.

Then watch Sessions: he either acts with a new SC or grand juries (he’s an ally), or resigns under the firestorm (he’s sold out).

I do not think another Special Council is a good idea. It, too, could go rogue and be never-ending. AG Sessions is doing just fine, addressing problems in a methodical way.

Sessions asked Rod Rosenstein if we need a special council. Rod said no. So that is it. There will be no special council.

This is purely a guess, but I think Jeff Sessions is paralyzed with fear. He probably has been informed of more corruption and criminality than we realize, has no idea of how to handle it, frets over the political fallout and has no advisors of merit around him.

So he does nothing and hopes it all goes away. I suspect he spends his days in a Walter Mitty frame of mind.

What a FUBARed situation. The sad fact is that if Trump fires Jeff Sessions then Trump will have a tough time getting a solid replacement though The Senate due to the thin Republican majority. The Dems and RINOs will only accept a watered down sellout.

UNLESS Trump moves Scott Pruitt from EPA to head Justice Department. Scott Pruitt has already been approved by The Senate for EPA so just move him laterally. Pruitt must have a great second in command at EPA who is willing to step up to the top EPA job.

Need a new AG anyway. Job is obviously way beyond Sessions capabilities notwithstanding Jeff is a nice, polite, layed back southern gentleman.
