Rudy isn’t in the best of health. After he passes, people here will be calling for him to take a big D.C. job for several more years. Minimum.

(IMHO) I don’t think Rudy really was that enthusiastic about working hard. He has situated himself nicely on the lecture circut, advising, and writing. For better or worse Rudy knows his wants, needs, and desires. The fray of another public position wasn’t worth his blood, sweat, and tears.

Rudy Gulianni has said from the beginning that he doesn't want the job.

He's getting older and would have to shutdown his consulting business.

He's not interested.
