(IMHO) I don’t think Rudy really was that enthusiastic about working hard. He has situated himself nicely on the lecture circut, advising, and writing. For better or worse Rudy knows his wants, needs, and desires. The fray of another public position wasn’t worth his blood, sweat, and tears.

Mueller is not making a legal case but a political one
I have come to believe that Mueller was appointed for one reason: so that the DC Establishment could keep Trump in line. For this reason, I expect his investigation to drag on into the 2020 elections. He may or may not indict Trump on anything, but the Establishment believes the threat is enough to make Trump nominally behave himself (in their eyes).

When the hammer falls. Major prosecution cases are not built overnight. Especially with the complexity and level of the people involved at senior levels of government as here.
But too many of our FRiends here don’t understand anything about criminal prosecutions let alone an investigation of this magnitude. It’s never happened before and not in our nation’s history.
Just on one front, leaking classified intel; there are dozens of cases under review and investigation.
AG Sessions has announced a triple level sandwich of investigations into the Clinton Foundation, Classified Leaking, Hezbollah Drug dealing and FISA abuse most recently, etc.
Do people honestly think all of this is leading to a dead end? SMH.
The Hon. AG Jeff Sessions has been in the job for only a little over a year. The Kabuki Theater is almost over and the curtain will be coming down.
2018 will be a landmark year and there won’t be enough hankies to wipe all the egg off many faces including here.
If MAGA things are happening (Some are of course) why would they want to distract from it? Not sure I’m down with the whole “3D chess” thing. These our supposed to be professional government officials not entertainers for our drama needs. I for one, am no longer amused at all the shenanigans.
