No. Chuck Schumer lives for banning ALL guns. Anything he does on the topic is simply an step in that direction. The rest of the democRAT Party is no different. Attempting to "make deals" with them is a fool's errand. Their idea of a "compromise" or a "deal" is "We get some of what we want, and you get nothing. And we'll be back for more of what we want next time, and you still get nothing."
That's the biggest lie in politics today.
CALLER: Yeah. Well, he could cozy up to the Democrats and grab all the guns he wants. Hes not gonna get any liberal votes. All hes gonna do is alienate his base.
RUSH: Thats very true. The Democrats are gonna impeach him no matter how much of their agenda he advances or agrees with. Surely, he knows that. Surely, there people in his immediate orb who can tell them that. But as of yet, again, we dont really know whats going on. Theres all kinds of schools of thought about Trump, that hes a day or two ahead of everybody, playing chess, a bunch of moves ahead of everybody. Recent history, if we use intelligence guided by experience, he pulled the same kind of maneuver on immigration and pulled the rug out from Democrats after exposing them on this.
But this was a little bit different in that the Democrats position didnt need to be exposed. Everybody knows what they want. Everybody knows Well, maybe they dont. Thats an item that needs further spreading. The real objective of the modern-day Democrat Party and all of their constituent groups is to confiscate every gun out there. Thats their wish list. Thats their giant dream. Thats the bucket list. However you want to characterize it, their objective is the total confiscation of all guns being held in private hands.
Thats what their objective is. And they dont hate the NRA. They hate you. They despise you. You stand in their way. Not you, Jack in Blue Ridge. Im talking about all of us. They despise us. They have a visceral hatred for those who oppose them and stand in their way. Its just easier for them to say they hate a group and an organization rather than to be up front about what they really despise and hate, which is all of us. Thanks, Jack, for the call. I appreciate it.
Is there a warning label on the medication stating that one side-effect might be homocidal or suicidal thoughts? I'm suspicious that we aren't learning all we should about some of these mass killings.
The only gun show loophole is when a maniac gets to run for Congress and get the privilege to use guns against the ones disarmed of rights
McCain was purposefully projecting and unfortunately it is sticking, even with Trump I fear.
Yeah, except here he openly contradicted his own VP on the matter of due process and he openly accused GOP congressmen of being afraid of the NRA and clearly stated he was not. That’s very different from throwing some ideas out.
Schmucky bucking the Constitution...
I look at him and see just another grave I’ll have to water in the future.
STFU. Get photographed with a teenage hooker right before election. Exploit tragedies no more.
So far, that's a pretty good maxim. If he makes a misstep on this subject, though, he's holding aces over eights.
NO!!!!!!! Why would you trade on gun confiscations and expanded background checks?!?! Those put the gun-grabber nose under the tent...>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Itts not me urging that. Its what is likely happening.Read trumps “Art of the Deal.”
Then SCOTUS would have to declare the new gun laws unconstitutional, another 10 years of NRA sponsored litigation.
I am now concerned that President Trump is about to grossly diminish Republican turnout in November’s midterms. It appears that he is really effing up.
No dog or man will find our liberation cache!
My sentiments exactly. This sure is fun to watch.
Not that I like his comments yesterday, but I believe Trump may be getting quoted out of context. His due process later quote was I believe regarding criminals and mentally ill. Don’t like the slippery slope that approachs, but I think he was trying to come up with a way to keep people like Cruz from having a gun.
When we don’t know for sure what the Executive will do, we communicate with the Legislative. Nearly all Republican (and even a few Democrat) members of Congress who don’t listen very well on some issues will still listen to us about Second Amendment issues. Letters to them telling them in the first line of the body of the letter to vote no on gun control are encouraging to them. They want the votes.

You do not need to reply to me with your normal 3D chess, playing the dems, art of the deal BS either. Thanks
The whole shadow government would love this and Agenda 22 would use this info to the fullest to herd us into our individual enclaves.
I smiled to myself when I read that. You betcha

There already are laws preventing Cruz from having a gun; see Baker Act.
