Parts of London are in a state of emergency after a spate of stabbings. Cuts to services have fractured community cohesion
t 11pm last Tuesday, I said goodnight to a friend outside a pub in Kentish Town in north-west London. By the time we both got home about a mile in distance each of us had passed a murder scene: four young men were stabbed that evening, in at least three different locations. Two of them died.
At the police cordon by the junction of the nearby Islip and Bartholomew Road and the Peckwater estate, a large group of Somali women spoke anxiously into their phones. It felt like so many of the scenes weve seen in London over the past year: a shocked community coming together from different backgrounds to deal with tragedy. A young boy, now known to be Abdikarim Hassan, 17, had been fatally stabbed outside a corner shop.
There was further trauma to come. News spread first of another stabbing in Kings Cross a 16-year-old boy who escaped with his life and then the killing of Sadiq Aadam, 20, in Camden. Word got round on Snapchat and Facebook as plugged-in teenagers told each other to stay home.
'It feels so close to home': spate of stabbings unnerves London teenagers Read more Sadiq was the third member of his family to be killed by knife crime; his brother was killed before Christmas. These deaths hit a community already reeling from the wrong place, wrong time murder of local rapper, Lewis Blackman (aka Dotz), 19, who was killed in Kensington last Sunday.
How has this situation come about? Its easy to jump to conclusions in emergencies, and tempting to blame cuts to local authority funding.

New law. No knives with sharp points. Only rounded ends. End of problem. /sarc
Are these Muslims stabbed by Muslims in no-go police zones? Now asking for the police to “do something?”
Something tells me that knives are not the problem.
Its easy to jump to conclusions. Especially when all the evidence points to Muslims.
Then, sporks.
The Police are spending 200% of their time looking for Islamophobes
Read where only knives with rounded ends were allowed for sale. Hammers, rebar, bricks still okay.
Nobody needs high capacity assault knives. I’m not going back to school in London until they are banned.

I don't know what to do. Somalis? I'm sure the author meant Southamptons or Salisburians. A local tribe just down the road from Stonehedge. Simple solution, build an apartheid wall around London and keep them out. And ban knives.
Good on ya mate.
Diversity training and higher taxes are the obvious answer.
See, see! Them bump stocks again! Damn NKA won’t accept sensible, commom-sense knife restrictions.
Justify it by saying acid is not a gateway death instrument and it mainly only disfigures.
Make the UK police be responsible for dispensing it, having to favor minorities.
You can no longer bring a knife to a knife fight.
You must settle for spoons.
They already have tons of knife laws.
