$31,000 is a bit extravagant for a dining set in an office.
I doubt the total value of every piece of furniture in my house even approaches $31,000.
It was a customized hardwood dining room table, chairs, sideboard and hutch.

This has made for bad optics, but Dr. Carson didn’t even make this decision and they needed to replace shabby, 50 year old furniture.
So now they will buy shabby new furniture instead of nice stuff that would have lasted a long time.
Whomever sits in first place.
