$31,000 is a bit extravagant for a dining set in an office.

I doubt the total value of every piece of furniture in my house even approaches $31,000.

Go look at the cost of an executive desk. Something custom made that should be used for generations isn’t going to be found at bobs or come cheap.

30k for something like this isn’t really unexpected.

Now was it needed? If not then I’ll get upset but if the existing set has lived past it’s usefulness I’d much rather see something replace it that will last a century thank inexpensive crap that will need replaced every few years.
