It seems Africans are determined to restore Africa to the pristine paradise it was before Eurporeans brought their their curse on it. That curse being quality education, high yield farming, clean water, quality housing, antibiotics and modern medical care, etc. Don’t get me wrong, the colonizers were brutal and treated the natives horribly. But like slavery in the USA, that era is long over. What’s there now is opportunity to build on the good that was also brought but alas, they seem determined to unwind it. They’ll probably be back to eating grubs within a generation or two.

If you're talking about all SubSaharan African nations, okay; sort of.

If you're talking about RSA, you don't know what you're talking about re the Boers being "brutal and treated the natives horribly" ! Go learn some factual history!

Everyone here seems to be forgetting that the Chinese have quietly migrated at least 5 million people into Africa south of the Sahara and the flow continues. China has a huge male surplus problem and African women have a male shortage coupled with some cultural baggage that makes many of the available ones pretty worthless as a mate. For each sex, Chinese men moving to Africa is like both winning the lottery.

If South Africa comes apart it leaves pretty much the south half of the continent open to Chinese dominance and that half of the continent is pretty key to global supplies of things like nickel, chrome, platinum, cobalt, gold, etc...

It also gives the Chinese a “frontier” to send troublemakers and pot stirrers to.
