I think President Trump is running another DACA tactic on the dems. Seem to give them all kinds of stuff; knowing they will never take it. He looks like he is giving away the store, but in reality he is putting the dems on defense and scoring big points.

I watched the entire meeting. Trump didn’t endorse any legislation. He only said he would consider different things which means nothing.
The CNN article that many people read is 100% fake. Some will never learn.

I don’t see this as any different than the cops seizing your money or other assets on a suspicion. In many cases you don’t get any due process at all.
So far, the USSC seems to have smiled upon this. It also seems reasonable that if your neighbor is acting crazy and brandishing a gun, it should be taken away from him.
Hell, if your significant other files a protection order against you, they take your guns...
Who knows how it will all end up. If Trump is playing 10D chess and the NRA does defend due process and there are Conservative judges everywhere, our rights will be strengthened.
Question is......Is this the game the President is playing? Or is he trying to awaken the slumbering Republican electorate??
You are right. If someone threatens to shoot up a school the police should arrest and disarm them. Due process comes after, just like Trump said.

So you did not hear or read that President Trump would come for you and me with out DUE PROCESS? This means without a court order or search warrant come into your house and seize your weapons or other property violating the Fourth Amendment.
BUT I guess as a devout Trump supporter you will see that this is okay and come up with some 5D chess excuse or shrewd deal making move that he is making.
And I guess you never saw or heard where he offered up to DIFI to bring her bill forward (you know the one that bans 200 firearms) and add it to the Toomey bill? I guess you did not hear that either with your deaf AlwaysRightTrump ears tuned in.
I got a suggestion for all people that are tone deaf. You better grab a hold of your neck and pull until you hear a loud popping noise. President Trump is WRONG on this issue and the blow back is going to be worse than not prosecuting HRC and his 'read my lips statement' about Mexico paying for the wall.
The NRA should have thought about “due process” before they announced they were willing to let the BATFE unilaterally and unconstitutionally amend the 1934 NFA to ban bun-fire stocks, not to mention trampling on the 5th and 14th Amendment rights of the people who already owned them.
