The Left-Wing Groups Propping Up the Parkland Kids

RUSH: Now, I remember shortly after the Parkland shooting — and you will remember this, too. Shortly after, remember when I said, “These kids, everything they’re saying on television sounds exactly out of the Democrat Party playbook,” and then do you remember the cascading cacophony of criticism I received? I was not alone in making the observation and others who made the observation also came in for big-time criticism. I, of course, don’t care. It’s a measure of success for me. But they went nuts.

“You can’t say that! These are traumatized kids. They were facing death. They were facing gunfire. They were facing the bullets of an AR-15. And you? You want to reduce their heroism and their trauma to the fact that they’re behaving and talking and — and — and sounding like the Democrat Party?” Yeah. Exactly like that. My point was they were getting help. My point was their tragedy had been hijacked by the Democrat Party and converted into the advancement of the Democrat Party, the leftist agenda.

And I said this, well, within days of this. I tell you what, of any forgot the monologue. I ended up… You know, I started out by praising some of the kids and some of the things they’d said that I truly was impressed with the poise and the knowledge, the ability to speak and so forth. But then on the activism side, I said, “It’s awfully suspicious. I mean, these are 16-year-olds, 17-year-olds, and they sound like Chuck Schumer? They’re 16, 17 and they sound like Pelosi or take your pick?”

Well, my friends, it turns out from no less than BuzzFeed: “The Parkland Teens Fighting For Gun Control Have the Backing of These Huge Organizing Groups — Some of the largest organizing groups in the country are helping the” students advance their gun control agenda. “Several large progressive organizations, donors, and a high-powered public relations firm are backing the March for Our Lives movement, which is” on March 24th. Exactly as I said. I’m not trying to do a See, I Told You So here. But I’m just making note of it.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Now, this story from BuzzFeed on all of the left-wing groups helping the kids and their rally on March 24th, this thing prints to 16 pages. So I’ve had to really rush through this thing to find the names of the groups who are involved, and here’s what I’ve been able to determine in a short period of time.

Everytown, which is the Michael Bloomberg bunch. Giffords, that’s the Gabby Giffords bunch. MoveOn.org. Planned Parenthood. And the Women’s March LA. These are just some of the left-wing organizer groups that have unified, banded together and basically are doing the organizing effort for this student march on Washington on March 24th.

In addition to that, the article says — and this not a shock, either — that Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz, a Democrat congresswoman, Broward County resident for nearly 30 years, she says that she’s been in touch with the students, helping them connect to state legislators, and she helped ’em plan their trip to Tallahassee last week.

That’s another thing. They don’t have any money on their own to do any of this. And let’s see. Also help from Pelosi, Bernie Sanders, John Lewis, and the American Federation of Teachers. So these are just some — and it’s according to BuzzFeed, a left-wing outfit itself. So these are just some of the groups.

Now, my point in mentioning it. They are free to do what they want. Don’t misunderstand that. I just want to remind you that when I suggested that this was already happening, I was raked over the coals by the usual suspects in the Drive-By Media for the usual insensitivity and how dare he say something like that, you know, that kind of garbage.

But it was right on the money. And it had to be the case because 16-, 17-year-olds don’t have any money on their own. They wouldn’t know how to organize something this massive. It was patently obvious. But, see, the Drive-Bys don’t want this to appear to be political. Remember the magic here. The way this is all portrayed publicly is these are the victims.

These students are the victims. Their reaction is real, and it is from their hearts and it has nothing to do with politics. Therefore, whatever they say, whatever they advocate, if they hate the NRA, if they want to get rid of guns, if they start ragging on Republican politicians and Trump, well, then you can’t criticize them. Because they’re the victims. And they’re not being political. So what they say, what they do is been hoisted up to a level supposedly above politics. And it makes them unassailable.

Another name for this is triangulation. So essentially the student victims are placed at the top of the triangle with the conservatives and the leftists and the Democrats, Republicans occupying the lower points of the triangle. And up there, they’re not political. They’re above it. We can’t talk about it, and we can’t criticize it. And it’s the same thing with this David Hogg character, the 17-year-old telegenic — has CNN hired him yet? He’s on there so much it’s almost like they have.

This guy’s entered the political fray, which is another thing. Once anybody enters the political fray they become fair game in it. But the Drive-Bys, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah. Not allowed. Mr. Hogg is a distraught victim. You weren’t in his shoes. He was shot at. You haven’t been. Therefore he knows more than you about how rotten the NRA is.

That’s how the arguments go. He was in the line of fire and you weren’t. As such, you’ve got no right. You’ve got no right to talk about what he’s saying or anything else. But he is entitled to believe and say anything. And that’s how it all works. And that’s what we’re in the midst of now. And that’s why this gun control and high school shooting stack just continues to grow each and every day and doesn’t fade away, because the Democrats have placed a lot in this.

I just want to remind you again, the Morning Consult has gone out and done a pretty extensive poll, and they have found that pretty much all the companies who have announced that they are severing ties or relationships with the NRA have lost considerable favorability among the American people.

Once again, it’s just like the thing that happened in Indiana after the Religious Freedom Restoration Act was signed into law by then Governor Pence. The Drive-Bys covered that as though all of America was outraged by what the state of Indiana did, what a bunch of hayseeds, what a bunch of knuckleheads. And in truth the vast majority of America agreed with what was going on in the state of Indiana. They were just never reported on, found, stories on them were not done.

It’s the same thing here. And these companies that do not buckle, these companies that do not sever ties — ’cause this isn’t about the NRA. And this is what informed and educated people know. The NRA’s just a convenient target. What this is is a gigantic public relations move to make the Democrat Party and its associated groups look bigger and more powerful than ever. Well, it is about the NRA in a sense, in that these people would actually love to do away with it, damage it, and cause them irreparable harm. But right now the NRA’s just the vehicle for the advancement of the agenda.

Another interesting bit of polling news from Rasmussen. “Americans Blame Government More Than Guns for Florida Massacre.” You will never get that idea if all you do is watch the Drive-By Media. “Most Americans think government error is more responsible than a lack of gun control for the Valentine’s Day massacre at a Florida high school.

“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 54% of American Adults believe the failure of government agencies to respond to numerous warning signs from the prospective killer is more to blame for the mass shooting.”

It only makes sense. It’s exactly right. Now we’re up to 66 different incidents that were ignored, reports, tips that were ignored about the shooting. “Ninety percent (90%) of all Americans say they have been following news reports about the Florida killings at least somewhat closely, with 53% who have been following Very Closely. … Americans aren’t convinced stricter gun laws will reduce crime and don’t trust the government to fairly enforce those laws.”

Let me take that little statement and ask you about something. There’s a new bill that some in Congress, including some Republicans, are trying to revive. It was floated once before, and it went down to defeat. And it’s the No Fly, No Buy Act.

And what it essentially is, if you end up on a no-fly list, if you’re on the government no-fly list, then you can’t pass a background check, you can’t buy a gun. Right now, it would affect something like 3,000 people who are on no-fly lists. And when it was originally proposed before people really thought about it, they said, “You know, that’s a great idea. Of all the people that shouldn’t be getting guns it’s people on the potential terrorist list.”

And then people began to think about it and said, “Well, wait a minute now. Who’s in charge of putting people on that list?” And the answer, of course, is — dadelut dadelut dadelut — the government. So if we pass legislation that is essentially no fly, no buy, meaning anybody on a no-fly list, nobody on that list can buy a gun and the government’s in charge of putting people on the list — ha-ha-ha-ha-ha — well, you see the potential for abuse there.

But they’re trying to revive this again, and in this heated atmosphere where the left and the media are making up and exaggerating the degree of animus toward the NRA, they’re exaggerating and making up the degree of anger and opposition to guns in general, they’re making it up. Don’t be surprised, ’cause everybody in the public is in one way or the other, most of them are responding to all kinds of public pressure like these boycotts. These businesses are responding to tweets and emails, threats and what have you. They’re just taking the path of least resistance.

Some people said some of these companies don’t have the guts to stand up. We don’t have a chance if these people know what’s going on and still don’t have the guts to stand up to it. And I understand the thinking. I’m telling you, folks, when you run a business, an industry, a corporation that is heavily regulated by the deep state, the administrative state, there’s a lot of fear of the damage they can do to you simply with their regulatory power.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Fort Collins, Colorado, the sight of the famous Dan’s Bake Sale, the conservative Woodstock back in the early nineties. This is Rick. It’s great to have you, Rick. How are you doing?

CALLER: I’m doing great. Thanks for having me on the show.

RUSH: Yes, sir.

CALLER: On Monday my kids came home from school and told me that students had organized a school walkout, March for Our Lives, and that it was happening on Tuesday. So I called the school and said, “What’s going on?” They said, “We’ve got it taken care of. We’ll have some extra police presence, nothing to worry about.”

But I had Tuesday off, so I decided to go downtown and see what was going on. I went down a little early and saw nothing big, but I was surprised to see middle school kids with a teacher rehearsing chants against guns. I thought it was just for high school. I came back to the high school at the time for the walkout, and there were a lot of parents outside in their cars. One of them was actually blasting out, “We Are the World.”

RUSH: You mean the song or somebody was just shouting it?

CALLER: Oh, no, the song.

RUSH: We Are the World.

CALLER: So the parents were there to pick up the kids. They were all supposed to walk down the sidewalk protesting, get public transit to the town square. But parents came, quite a few of them, to pick up their kids. They all took illegal U-turns to get out in front of the high school, and a lot of high school kids just went home.

They had their backpacks on. They walked out for the protest but then turned the other way. No signs. So I went back down for the beginning, and they had all these adults everywhere with vests on, and they were handing out fliers. It turns out this was more of a voter registration drive. It said on one of the fliers —

RUSH: You mean the school — the Tuesday protest, what was it called again?

CALLER: It was March For Our Lives Fort Collins.

RUSH: Right. And it wasn’t an abortion march, right? It was a gun march.

CALLER: No.

RUSH: March for — abortions wouldn’t — sorry.

CALLER: Definitely anti-Second Amendment ’cause they were screaming “no guns” in rehearsal, but —

RUSH: But the point you’re making is that the teachers were coordinating with junior high school students?

CALLER: That’s one of the points. There was at least one teacher there with junior high. Other teachers told kids they respected their decision in high school if they decided to walk out, but I texted my daughter while I was on hold with you, and she texted me back just now that everyone thought that this thing was student led, even the Democrat progressive students who were leading it. And they were very upset to find out when they got down there that it was the adults leading it. Very upset, a group called Fort Collins for Progress.

RUSH: Fort Collins for Progress. That sounds like an adjunct of the NOW gang.

CALLER: Funny you mentioned that, because on the back of that little flier they have a list of sponsors. One of them is OFA Colorado, Organizing for Action. Sounds like Organizing for America.

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: The next one is NOW.

RUSH: So the NAGs were there. So it was a voter registration drive. We call the NOW gang NAGs, the National Association of Gals. I think it’s more descriptive. Loo, Rick, I gotta go. I’m really out of time. I’m sorry. But thanks so much for that call.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Okay. So we’re seeing the same kind of organized protests in schools now that we used to just see in colleges. But they’re being organized by outside agitators like Organizing for America and the NAGs and it’s been going on for a long time now, and finally making its way to high schools.

A week ago Congress asked Tide Detergent to change their pod design so teenagers would stop eating them.

This week the media thinks teenagers should determine gun control laws.

"Planned Parenthood" - how ironic. They're outright responsible for the murder of millions of children. This needs to be hung around the necks of the "March for Our Lives" hubris. PP is evidently just another slush fund for leftist agitator movements.

No surprise there, we’ve seen it time and time again.

Got to listen to Rush for an hour today and when he named Planned Parenthood as one of these groups, I had to laugh. An organization makes money killing children is now acting like they want to protect them!

They really believe we are too stupid to see the irony.

The last week or so I noticed that people I run into at work who lean on either side of the aisle are now voicing anti-establishment, anti-Washington sentiments. The Trump effect? Hope so!!

It’s up to the smart high school kids who find out the schools are being propagandized to educate the other students (as well as parents and school employees) on how they are being hoaxed by radical left wing anti-Americans.

Many of these AP classes do more harm than good. They take fairly intelligent students and turn them into unthinking pawns of the left wing.

“You can’t say that! These are traumatized kids. They were facing death.”

I’m surprised how many dumb-ass, so-called conservatives fell for this crap and didn’t criticize CNN’s Hitler youth.

I can assure you that a brainless, brainwashed 16-year-old kid can kill you just as dead as a 25-year-old man.

Last week, a codirector of the Women's March Los Angeles, Deena Katz, filed a permit application with the National Park Service for the "March for Our Lives" rally estimating that 500,000 people will show up.

Their anti-civil rights march is going to draw twice the people the civil rights "March on Washington" had in August 1963? Mighty optimistic there aren't they. Of course with the corrupt media, two dozen people could show up and it would be trumpeted as "thousands".

Been looking at the incoming money numbers being thrown around for this "march" - I'm not an expert on election law but it sure looks like an effective way to launder large sums of money from individual donors through NGOs right into the coffers of the DNC, and fast, in the runup to the mid terms. I think that's what's really going on here. The DNC needs money and they need it bad. The phony moral outrage and concern theatrics is being used as a public cover story to smokescreen their funny money activities.

You raise a good point worth looking at. Please continue on and then post your findings on FR.
