If they can take the guns from one person without due process, they can take them all.

But I am not saying they should have done nothing, they should at least have admitted him to a psych ward for 72 hours of observation while the DA sought an order from a judge to remove guns from the home.

There was plenty cause to take Cruz’s guns. No question. They should have taken them, no debate. Of course the people down there, including the FBI, local cops, et al, were in a stupor.

Apparently the killer wrote letters, notes etc saying he was a threat to himself and others. This amounts to a felony in FL according to the female NRA spokesperson I heard on FOX this morning and provided due process to effectively arrest him and confiscate guns - however, the sheriff did not do anything.
