Rep. David N. Cicilline (D-RI) and numerous Democrat colleagues in the House are pushing an assault weapons ban that would prohibit high capacity magazines and 205 different firearms.
The Providence Journal reports that Cicillines bill, HR 5087, would prohibit the sale, transfer, production, and importation of semi-automatic rifles and pistols that have a magazine or can accept a magazine that can hold more than 10 bullets, and any ammunition-feeding device that can hold more than 10 bullets.

The most popular .22 rifle in the history of man is the Marlin Model 60, in continuous production since 1960. It has a tubular magazine that holds 17 rounds.
This is the kind of problem common in just about everything that comes out of congress.
People who know little if anything about the subject matter try to pass 'feel-good laws' based on what they think will sound good to their supporters.

This would also ban my Remington Nylon 66, and old Winchester .22s with tube feeds, along with Marlins.
Remember, when California tried to pass their first AW ban they also tried to slip the lever action rifles into this mess.

Dems never met an anti-gun law they did not like. Ever hear one say...”NO! This law is too strict!”?

I remember a gunsmith near here who handmade Taxable Legal full auto machine pistols till 1988 when he was forced to stop.
I also remember an unlicensed factory in California making unmarked sub machine guns for shipping to South America. It was rumored they had the private blessing of LBJ.
And who can forget the APACHE imitation Thompson copy that was found to go full auto if you squeezed the trigger and pressed the safety at the same time!

Not just .22s, all of the old Winchesters, including my 44-40 and the 1894 30-06 would be banned. Non of which have been used in crimes since the 1940s.

Thinks that once you use them you throw the empty one away like an empty squeeze-pack of ketchup.

[[Theres a monster wave of Democrats excited to hysteria about voting,]]
You bet they are- they smell blood and feel a victory on gun confiscation is just around the corner, so they will be very motivated to vote- question is- how motivated will the republicans be about protecting our second amendment rights?

They have to keep it up through November. RINO Republicans are quite adept at talking the talk to raise money and votes, they will survive. Problem is they will sell us out after November. Look no further the Cornyn. Big on gun rights, even National Reciprocity but not much follow-through that it gets passed. Works good to fool people and raise money.

Beto just sandbagged his chances to win the Senate race against Cruz, not that he had much of a chance to start with. Losing an election will not suffice.

Only if the politicians themselves, their security, the secret service and
ALL law enforcement are required to follow the same limitations!
My life is just as precious to me as some entitled prick politician and if they are going to limit my ability to defend me and mine then they better be limited too!
