Donald Trump has renewed his criticism of an armed sheriffs deputy who failed to enter a high school in Parkland, Florida, during a mass shooting this month, saying he would have run into the building even if he did not possess a weapon.
Addressing a gathering of 39 state governors at the White House, Trump said officers who were outside the school at the time of the shooting werent exactly medal of honor winners.
The way they performed was really a disgrace, he added. I really believe Id run in there even if I didnt have a weapon.
The president spoke as lawmakers returned to Washington following a week-long recess and amid intensifying debate over gun laws.

Probably slowly. Like Dirty Harry. With a scowl on his face. And then take down the shooter with nothing but his bare hands.
Any real man would do it. I cant imagine men huddling in place while children are bleeding out and dying
Ugh. Was this necessary, Donald?
I’m sure he’s a couple of moves ahead, but, my goodness.
President Trump is right. If one deputy was present during the attack, he should have immediately stopped the threat. Being at an entrance, he would have heard the noise coming from inside. The excuse from his lawyer is hysterical.
This isn’t fair to Scott Israel, who appears to be garden gnome in a sheriff costume.
Remember the guy who rushed the stage and Trump lunged *toward* him and had to be dragged back by the SS guys?
I really think he would.
the entire Broward County , Obama/Holder push to keep students out of criminal records thing needs to come out
Others put themselves in the line of fire unarmed. And gave their lives to save untold numbers of students.
Why don’t we see the coach or the JROTC student being heralded as heroes on CNN instead of that lying little p***k Hoggboy?
But the idea of kids getting shot up while men stand around outside and wait is anathema to me. I don't see how I could sit there and do nothing while kids are dying. Of course the welfare of kids was always something I cared about but since becoming a father myself it seems to have wrapped around my cerebral cortex like some sort of worm that sits there and compels me to do my damnedest to protect kids. Even at my own expense.
I can't know what it would be like in that moment. But I know I would feel a strong compulsion to do something, to help those kids. I would be afraid, no doubt. My fear might overcome my instincts to help, I can't know until I'm in that situation. But if so I do know that I'd be ashamed for the rest of my life.

Looken sharp Mr. Berlin.
Having seen a picture of Peterson, I wonder how fast he made that “couple hundred yards” run and if couldn’t move any further, being completely winded
Direct hit! Good job pointing it out.
If reporting is accurate, Hogg was busy 'interviewing' some young girl in a closet while the coach and JROTC student were shielding students with their own bodies. Of course hogg is the hero because he is a closeted 'survivor' first to a mic and camera.

Try to keep up, drag.
“Ugh. Was this necessary, Donald?”
Why not? The more those cowards are shamed, the better.
It’s his Scottish blood. Husband would do the same. So would at least one of my sons.
I think a lot of men would do the same thing.
It’s so hard for me to imagine anyone standing outside WITH a firearm and not acting.
Disgusting.
Uh huh...Sure, you’re a big Trump supporter, aren’t ya Mr. Berlin?
