David Hogg, a survivor of the Parkland, Florida high school shooting, told Morning Joe on Monday that he thinks Gov. Rick Scott should be “held accountable” for the failure of three sheriff’s deputies to confront the gunman.
Law enforcement sources confirmed to news outlets that three deputies from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office remained outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High as the shooter opened fire, eventually killing 17 people.
Hogg, appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, said the news is “raising concern” in his community, before accusing elected officials of attempting the blame the shooting on “bureaucracy.”
“They’re in charge of them,” Hogg said of those elected officials. “This is their fault.”
“They should have been regulating them,” he continued. “I’m not going to allow them to pressure these people because at the end of the day it’s their fault. These elected officials are the boss of these sheriff personnel and just like the president is the boss of the FBI, Governor Rick Scott is essentially the boss of Scott Israel, the sheriff, and as such he should be held accountable.
“He can’t just blame this on the bureaucracy and expect to get re-elected.” Hogg went on to praise high school football coach Aaron Feis, who died shielding students from the gunman, “unlike those cowardly Broward County Sheriff officials.”
“Sadly, these are a few individuals that did not conduct their job correctly, but I don’t think it’s right that Governor Rick Scott is trying to blame this on the bureaucracy in an effort to get reelected.”

I agree, Gov. should should be held accountable to FIRING this corrupt and/or incompetent sheriff and his deputies, and them proceed with CRIMINAL investigation of the sheriff.

Has neither the looks (unless one is looking for a “punk”- he’s got that) nor the speaking voice. He is an apparat for the former CNN woman. Buried in the backlash of institutional reality of MAJOR delegated police responsibility and don’t forget— the local school board’s policy to “reduce the pipeline of school to prison” directed originally at “black utes”. 45 Broward LEO calls to this kid alone— and no-one “flagged” him. Incompetence often leads to death.
A person in direct charge of the failed response, a liberal Democrat and supporter of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton should be given a pass, but an ostensible Republican governor should be fired?

So, to get this right, there are 4 deputies right outside the building, and the governor is 275 miles away at the State Capital.
...and who does he blame - the Republican governor.
He needs some help in the grieving process, and SOON. Otherwise he may just explode and start shooting up Republicans in Tallahassee.
The problem with Hogg is that he doens’t understand not only accountability but consequences.
Having taught for years and watching the degeneration of accountability and understanding of consequences in our kids, I understand he is really ignorant.
We must not allow him to speak for all children or teens or anyone he is still an underage child and he does not understand accountability or consequences.

I especially like 30.15(f) Suppress tumults, riots, and unlawful assemblies in their counties with force and strong hand when necessary.
How about we hold the following folks accountable, since it was their action and inaction that caused so many deaths:
The Sheriffs,
The NAACP,
The School Board,
The FBI,...

FL law does not permit a Governor to fire a elected county police official .

The kid is probably a little smarter than Joe and Mika..but that’s not very difficult.
I think David Hogg has it right: Gov. Scott thinks the solution to school shootings is to have more “trained law enforcement officers” on hand.
How many *should* there be when the only ones on hand at Parkland ran and hid???
