An Ohio sheriff said hundreds of local school employees signed up for a class to receive training on how to use a firearm in the aftermath of a high school shooting in Florida that left 17 people dead.
“We put it online, we thought we’d get 20 school teachers maybe. Within 20 minutes we had 40. Within an hour we had 100. Within four hours we had 200. By the next morning, at 300, we cut it off,” Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said on “Fox & Friends.”
There are currently only a few schools in the state that allow staff to concealed carry, but Sheriff Jones is hoping that school boards will “have the guts” to expand it to staff throughout the state.

This is a good start for Ohio. 49 states to go.
There’s a perceived need to have more of the social equivalents of Reno and Napolitano armed in schools.
And yet Ohio’s Kasich is out there talking about the gun-grabbing window of opportunity that is at hand!
Governor, with all due respect, it’s time for you to retire, as you’ve grown incapable of defending that which you swore an oath to protect and defend.
Ohio and the nation can do better.

I think this same Ohio Gun Class has been getting commented on for the last eight days. Different news outlets are presenting it as though breaking news. I hope I’m wrong, maybe it’s more than that one such class taking place.

Brave as they are, unarmed teachers don’t make very good shields.
This had to start in the Heartland, because “both Coasts” will fight this concept tooth and nail, and they will have their state governments doing all within their power to thwart it. And the problem is that these shootings are infrequent enough so as to blunt any positive data that armed teachers are making a difference, even though they would be simply by virtue of no shootings. Here in CA, any sheriff, and there are any number who would, who proposes this as a means to achieve safety would be dismissed from his office immediately.

Yes, it will be opposed by the left because their goal is banning all guns. They won’t allow themselves to be confused by the rational facts. To Liberals, the truth is whatever they want it to be.
Armed teachers or others in the schools would be a huge deterrent and they can’t have that.
Good news for students, bad for media and teacher’s unions. Maybe the media and others will get a clue and protect themselves rather than wait on the late arriving, wait it out police.

Ohio is not the only one. Several states already have armed staff in some of their schools. The dims say teachers don’t want to be armed, but every school that has set it up has said more teachers are willing than they can get trained.

Yes, it would be interesting if this became the initial movement of a firearms training frenzy. Image thousands of lib teachers nationwide, chatting in the faculty lounges across America about their shooting prowess. Talk about spurring firearms sales!
Pres. Trump is re-framing the school-shooting/gun control issue. Now it’s school protection/teacher-arming.
The Left, given a chance, would overturn the Second Amendment. Actually, they would do more than that if they could, because the entire Bill of Rights stands in their way of turning American into another European-style Socialist/Marxist country at best, and another Soviet Union or Venezuela if they could. Illegal immigration actually has two purposes:
1. Dilute the vote here with aliens to allow them to take over control.
And
2.Have that alien influx come largely from Central and South American countries where people “naturally favor” a Marxist / Socialist form of government, people, many of whom believe that parts of this country were "stolen" from them. Actually, I think, in large measure, the RAT Party is already comprised of alien migrants from two or more generations past. Certainly Blacks fall into that category, and it seems to me that Secular Progressive Jews are also in the mix, with these two groups allying themselves with the “fresh” Hispanic migrants, whose intent is to fundamentally and irreversibly change this country.

ACTIVITY > Support the DemoRat Party; Repeal the 2nd Amendment; Riot for gun control; Require gun checkup and registration on private sales; Get one-year old teenagers involved; Prevent teachers from gun carry in schools; etc; etc; etc;........ now, you can add to this list...
