We live in a country where liberals are constantly working to get rid of things that were once sacred to America.
They've taken God out of our public schools.
They've politicized and disrespected our national anthem.
Now, exploiting a tragic school shooting in Florida, they're aiming to get rid of our guns.
Liberals think turning America into a gun-free zone will make our schools safe and stop sick young men from going on bloody killing sprees like the one in Parkland.
The clamor for stricter gun control by the mainstream media and leading Democrats like Pelosi and Schumer is as simplistic as it was predictable.
But it's not the guns, stupids.
It's not what a disturbed 19-year-old boy has in his hands that makes him kill.
It's what he does not have in his heart - love.
I don't want to sound like a bleeding heart who thinks the Parkland shooter is a victim of society or is not totally responsible for his horrible crime.
But I haven't seen any evidence yet that he had anyone who loved him or truly cared about him after his adoptive mother died last year.
Like other mass shooters, he was an outcast, a clearly troubled, angry and strange kid with serious behavioral and emotional issues.
He had been kicked out of high school and never got the mental health help everyone who knew him knew he badly needed.
Adults failed him. But so did his peers.
I wonder how many of the 3,000 kids in his school embraced him or consoled him after he lost his mother.
How many of his well-to-do suburban classmates from good families - or his teachers - showed him they really cared about his loss or tried to help him get through it?
Not many, I bet.
High school can be a nasty social and psychological experience, even for the most popular kids.
Kids who are different, shy, poor, not-so-bright, adopted or simply deemed to be not "cool" enough by the jocks, cheerleaders and leaders of the other cliques have it extra tough.
Too often they are bullied, shunned, teased and - in very rare cases - transformed into angry killers.
When I went to school in the 1950s and the other kids found out I was adopted, I was teased unmercifully.
Being teased about being adopted, about being illegitimate, about being discarded by my real parents, hurt me. It also made me a very angry kid.
But it never made me want to slaughter my classmates with the rifle my father gave me and taught me how to shoot when I was 10.
Times and America have changed and there's no going back to the 1950s.
But school kids today can be just as cruel to each other inside their intense and closed social bubble.
I think the problem is actually worse now because we have a whole generation of kids who've grown up not hearing things like The Rev. Billy Graham's powerful message of love.
The great evangelist and global crusader for Christ, who died this week, always ended his sermons with "You don't have to listen to me today. But just remember one thing - God loves you."
Too many kids today are growing up not knowing they are loved by God or anyone else.
Their public schools don't teach such things to them because they don't want to offend anyone with God talk.
Our schools teach to the test, not to the soul.
Getting rid of guns, or controlling their ownership as strictly as they do in Australia, won't stop the next mass killing by a troubled school boy.
More love might.

I don’t think many of them are that stupid. I think they want to do things to America that they know we will oppose, and that’s why they want to ban guns.
Nobody ever banned guns for any laudable reason.
I find it just amazing that leftists can’t see that laws/regulations cannot fix this problem. If it were that simple, why was Prohibition such a massive failure? And, if making something illegal to own is effective, why is there an opioid crisis in American? You need to get the gov’t out of peoples’ lives and make them responsible for their actions without the false hope that the gov’t can solve anything.

And what happened to the hand wringing over kids who comitt suicide because of cyber bullying? Never mind the guns, how about prohibiting the sales of Androids to anyone under 21? Androids are assault weapons. The kids can make do with the old school flip phones.
The common thread is the exposure to liberalism. When God was replaced in the schools with liberalism the multiple shootings when up. It started in ‘62 but took real effect in the late 70’s.
The thread is for the charts. The article has is backwards. It is the intentional emasculation of the male children that is a contributing factor. The use of metro-sexual men (or worse) as role models instead of real men.
I’m sure Crooked H is enjoying yet another distraction from the FISAgate, Uranium One, Benghazi, Seth Rich, etc.
The window of opportunity to indict and prosecute is closing. Maybe not legally but politically it is.
Do registered Democrat should be allowed to own guns. Period. They are all mentally ill.

We really need to stop giving lying liberals any benefit of the doubt at all. They are evil. The American left is the most dangerous political force on the planet. They are seething with hatred and more and more they are becoming less afraid to let their true feelings known. We are witnessing the rise of an evil movement on par with the worst this century has ever seen. It's true the left wants to confiscate all guns and end our second amendment rights for the purpose of control. Now what we should ask is what do they want to do once they have that control? Do we really think giving up our arms will produce a fair and benevolent left that is truly tolerant of diversity? Of course not! They would tolerate no dissent whatsoever. So we should keep this front and center anytime we consider a discussion with people who have the unspeakable as their ultimate goal. Don't accept ANY gun control whatsoever. If you don't like bump stocks, don't buy one but keep in mind we might just need everything we can get our hands on if the left continues to succeed in the destruction of America.

His mother’s death is not the origin of Nikolai’s desire to kill.
9 months before she died he wrote online that he wanted to be like the Texas Tower Sniper.
3 months before she died he wrote online that he wanted to be a professional school shooter.
And that’s just the stuff that we know, for now.
He held a rifle to his mom’s head and his brother’s head.
He is mentally criminally insane and consumed with evil.

After a hundred million innocent dead in the twentieth century, no liberal is entitled to the slightest consideration, courtesy, or civility. Liberals should be reviled, abominated, spat upon, even beaten, whenever they have the gall to show their faces in the presence of decent people.
Kind of unfair to old Barney, though. He’d have loaded his bullet, swallowed real hard, and gone through the door.

My youngest daughter only has a 10/22, but it’s a start. She be punchin’ a lot of holes in targets. I hope and pray nothing more is ever required of her.
The answer that conservatives need to advance is more private schools.
Kindly delineate the differences between those you label metro and those you label real.
All of the above is true and YET every check and balance of society from school,mental health and especially law enforcement allowed this to happen. Even during the actual incident the security/police were epic failures.
