Correct on Chubb, and, me too.

I don’t know if this is possible, but if it is, we need to start forming our own companies and industries that need not rely on Leftists for anything. The way this is going we’re going to end up with two or three de facto countries inside the United States.

Facism on display at its finest. Force conformance to a left wing agenda by whatever means necessary.

Evan Greenberg was a great admirer of Michael Bloomberg. Evan Greenberg was the CEO of ACE Insurance, and ACE — which was a big player in commercial insurance — acquired Chubb, a multi-line insurer, which was well known for writing upscale personal insurance. Since the Chubb name was well known, and that name was in itself a great marketing tool, the new merged company dropped the ACE name and kept the Chubb name.

Weirdly enough, I’ve owned both individual stocks at different points in time, but both before the merger. Very profitable companies.

My point is that business are making decisions for political, not profit, reasons. They are denying coverage of a constitutionally protected right.
It would be like an insurance company denying property coverage for the printing facilities of a conservative magazine or newspaper.

Just as Obola promised to bankrupt the coal industry I'll bet that Marxists are hoping to bankrupt the firearms industry.Lawyers suing individual owner *and* the manufacturers could be part of that plan.

The insurance market, while oligopolistic, is extremely competitive. Plenty of small insurers willing to take away superior, low loss ratio customers from liberal New York CEO’s. Initially, the premiums might be higher, but I don’t think it will even go there. Given the relatively conservative, law-abiding actuarial profiles of concealed carry holders who, unlike most auto insurance customers, have to pass background checks, I’d expect the rest of the insurance industry to fight hard for their business.

My close friend just left Chubb after 15+ years in an executive, legal role. He said Chubb’s original (good) culture was replaced after the ACE takeover, with a lot of once-loyal Chubb people jumping ship as a result.

Crap. I have them for Collectors Insurance on my 2 military vehicles and just paid for the year last week. Now I have to change companies, pay up front for a new policy, and wait 2-3 months for a refund.

Yep, a business decision, not a political one. Glad to know that because Chubb is a very respected insurer.

Yeah - this isn’t necessarily political (although I’m sure they got some pressure after Vegas).
This is Reuters uncouthly twisting events to make it seem like people are jumping on the dump NRA bandwagon. That’s political and Reuters should pay some penalty for that.

Seems like Chubb came through with sexual harassment insurance for Clinton, after the fact, as part of his home owners policy.
