To: Pearls Before Swine

The better response would be, “If California won’t participate in the immigration system, including enforcement - then the fed govt can no longer safely send foreigners there”. No more student visas, no more high-tech worker visas, no more business visas for potential investors, no more ag worker visas, etc. And finally, no more tourist visas or approved visa-waiver admissions.

I like your way of thinking. That would certainly get their attention. I see no reason the state should get all the benefits without taking a share of the responsibility.
