These notes, obtained by journalist Ronan Farrow, are presented as her personal reflections on the relationship later memorialized in an eight-page, handwritten document provided to the New Yorker. Readers could easily get the impression, as many journalists have, that McDougal wrote these notes during what she describes as a consensual relationship that began in 2006. That seems to be the theme of the dying legacy media year after year. This “affair” story was created to harm President Trump’s reputation. Even though no one reporting it believes it and even listeners know it’s fake, it’s still treated like it’s as real a story as everything else on MSNBC, CNN, WaPost, and NYT. Sadly, it is just as real as the rest of their propaganda.
