I’ve kept up with this story, I know about Greitens, his background etc. I like him. I do note, he only became a Republican a few years from Democrat. That’s his history.

The article posted is worthless.

This one has more detail as to what’s going on.

I also apologize for excerpting. I did it out of an abundance of caution. It’s from the local Columbia news station, so I just excerpted it. I don’t post too many articles...even after 17 years here.

he apparently lured a woman into his basement, took her named pics and shared those pics with others, which brought the “invasion privacy” charge.

This happened before he switched parties - he was still a democrat when this allegedly happened.

Oh, OKAY!

That clarifies things quite significantly, and nope, I am definitely not guilty of that!

You must lead a pretty interesting life. :)
From the link in post #4:

The charge stems from a 2015 affair and allegations that he threatened to release a nude photograph of the woman, taken while she was blindfolded and her hands were bound, if she ever spoke publicly about the affair.

Sounds like lawfare on the part of the Circuit Attorney of the City of St. Louis.

Let’s see. They don’t have the image. They don’t have a “victim” willing to testify. They just have a recording, made without the source’s knowledge, of a woman confessing to her husband and coming up with some story to justify/explain it. No chance of conviction but, of course, the indictment is purely political with no expectation it will ever go to trial.

Just wondering if there is ANYONE in elective office who has the ability to NOT go through life with an open fly? I think we’d get a better class of elected officials if we would “probe” their backgrounds prior to election for any and all dalliances past and present. Our public officials act like alley cats!

Woman claims affair with governor and confesses to her husband that the Gov. blindfold and tied her to a chair naked then took a flash photo of her and said if she ever mentioned the affair he’d publish the photo. The husband recorded the confession then gave it to the cops.

Is that the story? Has the Gov. confessed to the affair?

Sounds fishy, one sided and could happen to any political player if the husband and wife are dem operatives on someone’s subversive payroll.
