I'm not sure how you came up with this thing being voluntary but I sure didn't read it that way.

A voluntary registry is no registry.

Probably nothing, but don’t EVER think of using your gun in self-defense, if it’s not registered. Or even showing it to anyone, including a spouse, who might just turn you in. You will get JAILED.
