You miss the point. What if the AFT/NEA enter the picture, as they definitely will, and start telling the teacher and school district what the cost/benefit is going to be?

Just one of many reasons this cannot and should not be a plan depending onwhether or not someone wishes to participate.

This fools' fantasy is wholly unrealistic.

The most practical, viable plan is simply to cease making school properties gun-free target-rich locations, and granting the 2nd Amendment its proper place in a supposedly free society.

You don't need official "participation."

Just remove the "gun free zone" shackle from schools which will allow teachers who want to carry to do so.
