Wayne LaPierre, the head of the NRA, broke his silence a week after the Florida school shooting with an unrepentant defence of gun rights and an aggressive attack on political elites who “hate individual freedom”. LaPierre used his address to the conservative conference CPAC to hit out at anti-gun campaigners, who, led by young survivors of the shooting, have attempted to make political headway in the last week.
“They fantasise about more laws stopping what other laws have failed to stop,” the National Rifle Association executive vice-president said. “So many existing laws were ignored.” He added: “They don’t care if their laws work or not. They just want to get more laws to get more control over people. But the NRA, the NRA does care.”
LaPierre also hit out at the “breathless national media” which he said was “eager to smear the NRA in the midst of genuine grief”. Elites want to “eliminate our firearms freedoms and eradicate all the individual freedoms”, he said. “They hate the NRA, they hate the second amendment, they hate individual freedom.”

The NRA had better fight this tooth and nail. Not only are our second amendment rights under full assault by the communist leftists who are manipulating gullible children for their evil purposes; they are also defaming, slandering and totally lying about the NRA blaming THEM and making THEM the “evil perpetrators” of the school shooting instead of the evil shooter himself and the utterly incompetent, failed, Keystone Cop FBI.
They hate individual security.
They hate family security.
They hate womens security.
Government is their security and their god.

They will soon fear drones more. A man in his garage can now build an inexpensive machine that can fly thousands of miles and drop in on anyone.
A compromise with the gun grabbers is possible. Just allow the banning of guns from people that live in high density cities. That's the people that need the gun bans anyway. That will disarm 90% of Democrats and leave 90% of Republicans fully armed but is an acceptable compromise.
No compromise with the 2nd Amendment. I don’t agree with you.
