How can we have an intelligent discussion about guns when many pushing for more gun control don’t understand basic concepts about weapons?

Take Chris Cuomo on CNN this morning, who said:

“Many in the audience at the CNN townhall supported a ban on semiautomatic weapons.”

Issue-by-issue I don’t have a problem with raising the age to 21, and maybe the others are OK.

Well, if they aren't considered mature enough to own a weapon until they're 21, then they certainly shouldn't be considered mature enough to vote until they're 21 (or older) ...

21 or older to vote: Sounds good to me!
I assume the proposed gun regulation of age 21 refers only to purchasing a weapon. At home, parents should be able to let their children of any age to have guns.
