Several top Democratic congressmen are distancing themselves from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi over her harsh criticism of President Trump's tax cuts.
Democratic National Committee Vice Chairman Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) pushed back on Pelosi's comment that bonuses paid to employees by various companies were mere "crumbs."
"The income inequality is so bad, that if you could pick up $1,000 or $900, maybe it helps," he said in comments reported by Axios.

Uh, oh. Are the socialist RATS on the brink of admitting that tax cuts work? Pelosi hardest hit.
Yeah but he got his digs in with his statement too.
better than nothing
isn’t this guy a muzzie?
just asking. dont know why i thought that
He's a muzzie.
The new talking point is that the Dems can get the voters a better tax cut from them that they got from Trump if they get Congress. Which begs the obvious question, "Why didn't you propose and pass this great tax cut when Obama was still POTUS?"
I would like to see someone seriously address what has been done to the dollar. Even within my lifetime (age 73) there was a time when many families made it on less than a “crumb” of one thousand dollars for an entire year and did it without government assistance. Henry Ford shook the world in 1914 when he began paying five dollars a day which is only $1300. a year for a five day week. People were given help to figure out how to manage such a large income. Most people now don’t even vaguely comprehend just what a monstrous theft has been accomplished by replacing real money with fake money. The official inflation adjustment figures from the federal government are as fake as Nancy Pelosi. Ford’s $1300. a year is only a decent one week’s pay now and to many it is chump change even for one week.
> “The income inequality is so bad,...
There are psych experiments that find people would rather see “the rich” hurt than receive a personal benefit while “the rich” get a bigger benefit. That’s the direction the dems will take this. Basically “we will hurt everyone but the rich will be hurt the most”.
For 20+ years they’ve been able to scare half the country with phrases like “voodoo economics” and “trickle down theory” and “tax cuts for the wealthy”. This is the basis of the Ds economic arguments. If it falls, they have no message on the economy.
Rs have their own sayings like “a rising tide lifts all boats”. It’s been a battle of slogan with most people unaware of the 80s and simply believing “their side”. Now we have a real test of the slogans that people have been following for decades without thinking.
Ds cannot let Rs win on this. If the Ds economic slogans are shown to be wrong, they are left with no economic argument other than “we’ll hurt everyone”. They have to find a message for why hurting everyone is good, and “income inequality” is what they will go with.
“Uh, oh. Are the socialist RATS on the brink of admitting that tax cuts work? Pelosi hardest hit. “
It’s their reelection strategy. “See, I disagreed with Pelosi.” Of course they will not mention that they voted against the tax cut.
Of course they are! They’ve seen the reception that she’s been getting at her “Townhall” events.

IMO, it should be a dual tracking chart. Dollar vs. TAXES (govt). Didn’t have NEARLY the intrusion of govt in our lives as we do these days.
1914, govt had only begun farking the Republic /semi-s
