HLN conservative host S.E. Cupp followed up her masterful takedown of self-righteous journalists who become anti-gun activists, last Thursday, by using the opening monologue of Tuesday’s S.E. Cupp Unfiltered to call out disingenuous gun grabbers for lying about their intentions. “There is nothing more disingenuous than the idea that no one is talking about banning guns,” Cupp declared.
Cupp began the show by slamming actress Alyssa Milano for sending out an “inane” tweet spewing hate for the Second Amendment because it was passed during a time when smallpox and dying during childbirth were “popular.”
“What Milano tweeted may be inane, but what’s problematic is that other inane ideas masquerade and serious and actually get considered. People say all kinds of crazy things in a desperate attempt to quote, ‘do something,’” Cupp cautioned.
She then became extremely serious and warned of a liberal narrative every law-abiding gun owner would surely come across. “But here’s the deal. I want you to be very aware of one narrative that pops up over and over and over again. It is this idea that ‘no one is talking about taking your guns away,’” Cupp warned. “You will hear it all over the news. You will hear it from lawmakers. They will dismiss the idea that taking your guns away is what anyone is talking about.”
“But you should know, any time someone says ‘they are not talking about taking your guns away,’ what they mean is, ‘they are talking about taking your guns away,’” Cupp added. She followed up by showing video of evidence of President Obama and Hillary Clinton asserting they weren’t going to take guns away and then saying the exact opposite later. She also noted the two-faced-ness of former Republican Joe Scarborough on the subject:

Yeah, I got it. LOL!
The whole thing is BLM redux. As tragic as the death of any child is, this is statistically a VERY rare occurrence, as is the shooting of an unarmed black man by police, which is one reason they get the press they do.
There are over 100,000 schools in the US, and even if a shooter does choose your school, which is extremely unlikely, it is equally unlikely that your child would be one of the victims. I’d focus more on your child wearing their seat belt than them being a school shooting victim. And stats prove the former is much more relevant to the actual death rate statistics of children killed in vehicle accidents than at school shootings.
And this particular shooting was about the utter failure and incompetence of law enforcement, not guns, or shooters, or schools.
So, did she switch her positions yet again?
Yeah, ya just never know with her. But, I gotta side with her on this. Until she changes her tune anyway.
It pisses me off every time you hear one of these gun-grabbers arguing on TV and when they are called that they say “No one is calling for gun confiscation”
And I always wish the other person would scream “...YET, but that IS your final goal, isn’t it?”
Me too, and it sounds just about right too...
The favorite media meme is that they convert a semi-auto into a full auto and that is not true or even close.
The danger here is that some minor accessory that (in relation to the number of firearms) very few people bother with will be the camels nose under the tent to ban other parts because of some scary fantasy reason.
Where are the adults? Bowing to the hysterical, demented media demands to 'DO SOMETHING' is equivalent to giving in to your crying child because they are crying. WTF
Cupp is articulate and attractive and occasionally correct, but she is not conservative.
I think that was intentional.

Well, what with all those hundreds of thousands of bump stocks out there...................... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
Of course they want to confiscate guns, how do you stop “Gun Violence” when there are over 300 million guns without taking them away from everyone?

S.E. Cupp is completely right about this.
Of course they are calling for gun confiscation.
Just not all at once, right away.
The confiscation they are calling for is incrementally gradually, step by step, over time.
They only want to register them
Restrict transfers
Ban certain guns
Limit magazine capacity
Prohibit carrying guns
Ban or limit ammo
Require them to be locked up
Then, if you break any of the above rules, they will confiscate them!
An experienced marksman can get close to a rate 600 rounds a minute without any devices.
They want to ban 100+ year old technology, semi-auto firearms.
Exactly.
Eventually disarmed is the MO.
