And in case anyone needs a history lesson, the individual right to bear arms has only existed since 2008. From the adoption of the Constitution until the DC v. Heller decision in 2008, the 2nd Amendment had never been interpreted to mean private citizens have a right to own guns. (Thanks, Scalia.)

The piece of paper doesn’t give me the right. My rights are INALIENABLE which means they cannot be taken away they are inherent to my existence. The paper called the Constitution tells the government what it is allowed to do and ensures that they cannot abridge my INALIENABLE rights.
If there were a way to somehow guarantee that what the author suggests, I would actually favor it. I just don’t trust the libs to stop at any point though. “Give ‘em an inch, they’ll take a mile” and all of that.

The constitution itself says that the Congress has the ability (Remember, the constitution tells the Government what they can do - They can’t do anything that isn’t listed. The Constitution isn’t aimed at the people whatsoever. It doesn’t tell us what we can do. It tells the federal government what they can do. And it establishes that the states can have their rights, but no state rights can go against the US Constitution) to call into existence the Militia. To stop foreign invasion or a domestic uprising / Rebellion.
Then the Amendment clarifies that one: In order to have the ability to muster a militia, the Congress needs to know who is in the militia and how to keep those people “regulated” (Which does NOT mean under control, it means kept in good working condition). It tells the Congress that the militia is comprised of the regular people, and they must be kept in good working condition (With training, muster and equipment.. to avoid the horrors that affected the Continental Army) And that in order to do that the people’s right to keep and bear arms must not be infringed.
A very, very long explanation there. But the Constitution doesn’t “grant the people” anything. the people are granted what they do not from the Government but from God’s own design. The constitution does not tell us what we can and can’t do. The second amendment isn’t for us.
For us ? We have a god-given right to defend ourselves anyway we goddam see fit. And if I feel the need to have a nuke to defend myself then yes - I can get a nuke. We have a god-given right to defend ourselves not because of anything that any man, group of men or nation has to say because it’s goddam ridiculous that we would need to seek permission to how, when and even IF we can defend ourselves and those around us.
Don’t let the left trick you into thinking their way, and don’t let the Right do it either. You are a man, you are a creature of God and all of God’s creatures have the ability and right to defend themselves. Deer have hooves and antlers, Rabbits are fast and bears are strong as sh!t. And have claws. And teeth. But humans have only Brains and those brains invented weapons and now we’re at the top of the food chain. And the constitution didn’t do that.

Do NOT give up your AR15s. Do NOT say “Oh, I’ll just get a SCAR instead”. Keep the AR15 because that’s what your enemy is afraid of. When these elite pieces of filth “don’t want you to have something” you should be buying those somethings in bulk.
I, for one, am getting pretty tired of the government taking things away from us. Whether it’s bump stocks or beef jerky - the action is the same. Some ruling from the high tower saying they are taking something from all of us for being bad and not following their instructions.
I spit on that. Like taking the confederate flag. No one was offended by it - they just didn’t like how the anti-government commoners were getting all uppity and showing them disrespect. They needed to punish the serfs before they began to revolt.

As terrible as these shootings are, if a communist type government takes over, and it would, there would be millions of deaths. Do we allow for some deaths, likely even provoked by those trying to take our guns away, or do we become victims of a communist takeover whereas millions would be murdered, as they always do when they take over.
While technically correct, the Constitution recognized that right and that it emanates from God, and that the government can not infringe on that right. States that enact laws to eliminate or severely restrict that right are unconstitutional, as the Constitution overrides the State.
Remember, I am not related to this person and that this person has nothing to do with Canada. This was just an item I saw on my FB feed and wanted to share it here as it seems to be part of this very scripted and canned response to last week’s tragedy, making it all seem very suspect to say the least.
Don’t see that happening. My leg can’t break again, it’ll only bend. And getting bent metal out of a leg only to put more metal in sounds silly.
I’ll stick with 420HP and metal surrounds. :)
