Wrong “we”. My “we” is right next to Syria, and Iraq’s just past Jordan. We’d be happy to serve as proxy, holding both Russia and Iran in check for you Americans. That would actually be preferable to American military involvement, since you guys tend to get things bass ackwards a lot, and get all upset when the bodies pile up. But neither Iran or Russia are lightweights. If we’re going to restrain them from taking over our neighbors Jordan and Egypt by not getting killed, we could use some money and hardware, maybe an aircraft carrier and/or helicarrier to play with.
Please, don’t try to scare me with Russia taking over Egypt and Jordan. Remember a few years back when the US toppled the Egyptian gov with manipulated regime change? They were doing just fine until then. And Jordan? Their monarchy has proven to be very adept at survival. And Syria? They’ll be pretty involved undoing the mess we created. Assad never invited the US into his nation. If Russia can bring stability back to the region, and now it looks like ally with the Kurds to thwart Turkey, that’s to our benefit. We can worry about our borders at home and saving the US.
It's doubtful whether Israel could handle either one of those countries in a war, much less both simultaneously...with Hezbollah and Syria added in as wild cards.
Be careful what you wish for Schlomo.
...”you guys tend to get things bass ackwards a lot, and get all upset when the bodies pile up.”
America has given you billions of dollars every year and lost thousands of lives to protect you. All we ever get in return is complaints that we are bad people who don’t give your people enough free stuff. Drop the arrogant attitude. Your country is not helpful to us at all. It’s purely a burden.
