Apparently Iran and Turkey are getting strong enough to drop their “religion of Peace” masks.

That is a correct statement.
But....
Iran has not had a religion of peace mask, merely several different political masks. The masks no longer hide reality
Turkey did not hide behind a religion of peace mask. In fact Turkey had no mask at at all. Turkey plainly and unequivocally makes it known they do not want the kurdish enemies to form a new state.
With the removal of ISIS, the battle is reduced to Syrian military deserters/separatists allied with Sunni Arabs and Kurds that have in fact formed a new nation east of the Euphrates River. With the Gulf Arabs and America in support that is pretty much a fact. The question is how far east does it go and how far south in Iraq.
