Sarah Palin: Andrew Breitbart Helped Me Defend Myself When Fox News Wouldn’t Let Me on Air After Giffords Shooting

The late Andrew Breitbart helped Sarah Palin defend herself when Fox News Channel’s former Chairman Roger Ailes denied her the opportunity to respond on air to the media’s false accusations framing her for inciting the attempted assassination of former Congresswoman Gabrielle “Gabby” Giffords (D-AZ) in the days immediately following the 2011 Tucson mass shooting incident.

It’s sad he passed away. Breitbart went to the dogs after he died.

This is the second opinion piece from Sarah in the last week, that I know of. Maybe she’s going to be more visible on TV.
Hope so. There is no big election to worry about.

From the article:

“If it weren’t for Breitbart, so much of our commonsense defense wouldn’t have gotten out there, because I was working for Fox News at the time, and I was not allowed to go on the air to defend myself for days, and finally I bucked management of Fox News—I never even talked about this publicly—I bucked management and said, ‘I’ll do my own video, and I’ll post it, and I’ll explain to people that, no, we are not to blame.’ My relationship with Fox was never the same after that.”

Palin noted Ailes’ repeated refusal to allow her a platform to defend herself from a barrage of media attacks falsely accusing her of inciting mass murder. • Democrats and their establishment media allies cast blame on Palin for the mass shooting. However, as Breitbart Senior Editor-at-Large Joel Pollak reported, the public eventually learned that Giffords’ shooter “was mentally disturbed and had no political motivations,” and Palin’s map graphic “was virtually identical to those used by Democrats for years, depicting targets atop contested congressional districts.”

FAUX NEWS is not what many think. They infuriate me nearly as much as the worst of the worst.

It’s sad he passed away.

____________

A. Breitbart was the best.

From the comments section.

"Andrew was the biggest threat to liberalism, and that's why Obama had him killed. Andrew was about to expose the link to Obama and the Weather Underground from his youth. This would have destroyed Obama, and he knew it."

 "The timing of his death is suspicious at best. The way he died is odd. The fact that the only eye-witness died, and then the coroner died also..... well, one has to wonder what sort of information he was about to expose."

Any proof of that?

Obama was about 7 or 8 when the Weather Underground was big. And he lived far away. I doubt he was involved with that.

From the comments:

Nemesis Ladoj says:

"Governor Palin's entry into the 2012 presidential race was the only reason McCain lasted as long as he did. He certainly had no value! SHE was the real candidate in that one. A conservative in the same fine vein as Patrick J. Buchanan."

"The Donald should accord her a place in his administration. Very estimable woman!"

Yes. Maybe it’s time. Give Sarah a specific duty. I double-dare him!

_____________

As you COULD HAVE noticed, that was from the comments section.

However the writer of that comment may have been speaking of the Bill Ayers' connection to Obama, and Ayers WAS all into the Weather Underground.

Personally, years ago I had read of what was to be exposed by Andrew, but I forget exactly what it was. I do believe it got him killed when he said he was coming out with the information.

_____________

Not proof, but some background.

http://www.reddirtreport.com/prairie-opinions/andrew-breitbart-dead-43-was-about-release-explosive-tapes-featuring-obama

(snip) -- It immediately brought to mind the "tapes" he said he had of Obama's early years - college and political, from the sound of it - and how damaging they would be. He made these statements as he spoke last month at the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) in Washington.

Said Breitbart (via Mediaite.com): “The videos are going to come out, the narrative is going to come out, that Barack Obama met a bunch of silver ponytails in the 1980s, like Bill (Ayers) and Bernadine (Dohrn), who said one day we would have the presidency, and the rest of us slept as they plotted, and they plotted, and they plotted and they oversaw hundreds of millions of dollars in the Annenberg Challenge and they had real money, from real capitalists. Then they became communists. We got to work on that. That is a parenthesis. Barack Obama is a radical, we should not be afraid to say that! Okay? And Barack Obama was launched from Bill and Bernadine’s salon. I’ve been there.”

Personally, years ago I had read of what was to be exposed by Andrew, but I forget exactly what it was.

Breitbart was the first journalist to announce he was going to release an incriminating Obama video at some future date. He did this at CPAC on February 10, 2012.

He didn't last 30 days. He died on March 1, 2012.

Breitbart CPAC 2012 Speech (partial):

There's no such thing as a moderate Democrat. And so what do we get now, in Barack Obama?

In this election we're going to vet him.

I've got videos, by the way, and in this election we're going to vet him. I've got videos. This election we're going to vet him. From his college days, to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what 'hope and change' was sold in 2008.

The videos are going to come out. The narrative is going to come out: that Barack Obama met a bunch of silver pony-tails [left wing academics] back in the 1980s, like Bill [Ayers] and Bernadine Dohrn who said "one day, we're going to have the presidency.'

I got into a huge argument with my liberal sister - then an active journalist - over the notion that Sarah Palin’s website somehow had a role in the Giffords shooting. I lost a lot of respect for her that day; in her mind, the MSM are stalwart heroes who can do no wrong.

Andrew’s passing has left a void that will never be filled. He was a true patriot. I had the great privilege of seeing him in person.

My greatest takeaway from Andrew was that no game was ever won by playing defense.

Andrew Breitbart was certainly a force to be reckoned with.

Ailes, on the other hand, was a sorry sack of you know what.

"And yet people continue to think Fox News is conservative."

I never though they were after listening to Shepard Smith and Geraldo Rivera.
