This story had a nice ending because of a sharp-eyed agent. But did the parents know where their daughters were going, who they were talking to?

"They said, 'I wouldn't let anything happen that I didn't want,' and I said, 'Well you probably wouldn't have a choice in the matter." They would have been beaten, raped, and drugged and would have been scared ....less to try to escape. They would have been working as prostitutes in short order. An angel was watching over them that day.

Good story. But they probably should have kept the agent’s name secret.

There were immediate red flags: There was no adult with them; they had no identification; the tickets were one-way and multi-leg; they were booked in First Class; and the credit card used to reserve their seats was in neither of their names. Yeah, I'd say that raises red flags. Too bad the FBI and Broward Co. sheriffs didn't see the red flags of the school shooter.

I’m guessing at least one of the girls parents either knew what was up, or had already factored that $2000. earnings into her own budget.
“What you mean you didn’t go the whole way? So you didn’t get paid the $2000.? Did you get paid anything? Why did that Airline Employee have to stick her nose in your business? She probably was jealous it wasn’t for her! I saw her picture!”

How you do pass through security without an ID?

If we see something, maybe we should call American Airlines instead of the fbi.

SFGate gets a few dollars in click revenue, and the human traffickers change tactics to include an adult chaperone and unflagged plastic.

Interesting that the agent at the check-in counter had access to the credit card information used to book the flight.
I’m not sure that’s a good thing IMO.

You don’t, and there were enough other flaming tell-tail signs here to gag a maggot.
I’m glad she flagged the girls to for the Sheriff’s department.
You’d have had to have been below room temperature IQ wise to miss this one.

One day I had to go on last minute travel.
Ended up with two one-ways to get there and back.
Had connections, because that was all available.
Carried on a small bag, to get by.
I was chosen ‘randomly’ for extra inspection on 3 of the 4 flight segments.
All those “S’s” printed in the corner of your boarding pass mean something.

Good one.
And I’m pretty sure there are high ranking people in the FBI who are part of human trafficking and sexual exploitation of children.

“The girls thought they were flying to New York for the weekend to model and perform in music videos. They were told they’d earn $2,000 for the work. The whole trip was arranged by someone they had met on Instagram who they knew as “Drey.””
They were RETURNED to their parents. This was not the end of the long ordeal. This was their decision to start the long ordeal. The Tide Pod Generation has all the answers to everything but can’t see through “Drey”.
