Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich said the deadly school shooting on Wednesday should be a rallying moment for the nation on guns, but he predicted Congress would not live up to the task, and suggested the President should take the lead.
"Do I think they can do anything on guns? I hope they prove me wrong and they can because I have no confidence in them," Kasich said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union."
"We need leadership out of the executive," he said. "This is a great opportunity for common sense steps that can be taken. ... Mr. President, I ask you to do this. You don't have to boil the ocean, but take some steps now."

Dear Lord. I did not know this!
Q for Kasich: Have the Pike County and Colerain Twnshp shooters been caught? Just curious.
They create the problems and fix it with stupid and meaningless crap that advances the mission of curtailing our freedom.
Was Kasich the one making a fool of himself at a matzo bakery a few years ago? That was embarrassing to watch.
POTUS should push for nationwide Constitutional Carry!
Why don’t you “take some steps” off a steep cliff?
I really can’t take it anymore.
After every one of these events comes the Parade of Assholes.
I’m finding it very hard to even give a $hit anymore. This country is full to the brim of absolute blithering morons.
Just what do you suggest Kasich? Let’s just hear one suggestion of a gun control law that would work. You won’t hear anything fruitful from these clowns because there is nothing they can suggest that’ll stop these school shootings. Let’s stop listening to liberals and do the one thing that would work, arming the teachers and making sure that they know how to shoot.
Romney/Kasich in 2024. /S
Um, step two remove the restriction on sound suppressors AS A PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUE.
What's the matter, Kasbich? No useful 'steps' ideas to suggest??
Figures.
Too bad he didnt go postal!
You claim to be a Libertarian.
That is certainly not a Libertarian sentiment.
Constitutional carry is about as Libertarian as you can get, is it not?
“Second Amendment recognizes an individual right
“We affirm the individual right recognized by the Second Amendment to keep and bear arms, and oppose the prosecution of individuals for exercising their rights of self-defense. Private property owners should be free to establish their own conditions regarding the presence of personal defense weapons on their own property. We oppose all laws at any level of government restricting, registering, or monitoring the ownership, manufacture, or transfer of firearms or ammunition.”

Sounds like Constitutional carry to me!
I may have misinterpreted your comment - were you addressing your ‘take some steps’ off a steep cliff” comment to Kasich, or me?
