NORTH CAROLINA STATE CONSTITUTION -— ARTICLE I; Sec. 13. Religious liberty.
All persons have a natural and inalienable right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences, and no human authority shall, in any case whatever, control or interfere with the rights of conscience.
The judge could not legitimately under NC law, issue an order to prohibit it.
(See NC Constitution, Art 1, Sec. 13.)
Get back to me on that when her sentence is overturned.
Heh -— If anything, it seems obvious that the judiciary and “justice department” are all too willing to ignore constitutional constraint.
