After the Florida school shooting, all youre going to read and hear are, Why havent we banned guns yet? or, When will the madness stop?
Advocates of gun control relentlessly ask these questions not because they know gun bans will prevent school shootings, but because of the questions they do NOT want you to ask.
Its hard in a culture whose intellectual and media agenda is dominated almost completely by leftists who want guns banned to ask these questions. But you still can, and you should.
For example:
Why do these shootings always and only happen in government-run schools?
Clearly, public schools despite being government property are unable to prevent or control the spread of this horrible violence. Yet were counting on the same government to ensure that guns never get in the hands of violent criminals. We assume that the federal government can win a war on guns despite its complete and decades-long failure to win a war on drugs.
What about the role of ideas in violence? Ideas have consequences. When a terrorist shooter has ideas of white racial supremacy, advocates of gun control have no problem talking about the role of ideas. But when the terrorist shooter identifies with Antifa and Islam, the shrieks for, Ban guns now! only become more deafening.
Obama used to love the phrase, national conversation. Why are we allowed to have a national conversation about the supposed panacea of banning guns, but never a national conversation about why violence is so prevalent at government-run schools? Why dont we read about shootings at Montessori schools, Catholic schools or Jewish schools? Or in home schooling or private tutor settings? If socialization of children is so important, why do we leave control for that socialization up to the federal government frankly run by socialists and Communists, for the most part and then act so shocked when we get these results?
What ideas and attitudes are these students learning that leads so many of them toward hatred and violence? What are private schools doing right that public schools are doing wrong?
I understand the argument that public schools need to do a better job of policing students. But to be fair, what else can they do, short of turning these institutions into literal prison camps?
As the rest of the world looks to gun bans to solve the school violence problem, I will look to privatization of schools. When parents have both a choice and responsibility for choosing the nature and setting of their childrens education, instead of leaving it up to the hapless and hopeless government, its going to be a whole lot safer.
Perhaps the most compelling question of all: Once we further regulate or ban guns altogether, and the shootings continue to happen What then?

Why are shootings only at Public Schools ? Hmmm ?! Because its the government. They fail at EVERYTHING they declare war on ?
War on Poverty? Failure.
War on Terror ? Failure.
War on Drugs ? Failure.
War on Stupidity ? Failure.
War on Guns ? Soon to be a failure.
As the article, by Dr. Michael J. Hurd, so poignantly states, instead of having a War on Guns, we should be declaring a War on Public Schools. Obama frequently proposed having a national debate or discussion on whatever he or his marxist ass-kissers considered worthy of discussion. I dont, however, recall him having suggested a national debate on the privitization of public schools.
I think its time we time we have one.
Alex, What is lack of morals and religion?
Cause that’s where the nutcases go, and the media covers.
Cause they are run by liberals
Rep. Thomas Massie:
Its time to repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990.
Let teachers carry to protect kids & themselves. Support H.R. 34 Safe Students Act.

Do government and court buildings secure themselves by calling for gun control or do they install security systems and hire guards?
It's time schools took security seriously.
Because private schools keep problem kids out.
What is the breakdown of school shootings between public and private schools?
Some twelve years ago there was a famous shooting in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in Amish country.

This was not a typical “government-owned” school.
The Amish are much more careful about locating their schools now, and allowing access to them.

Alex, What is “Lack of Morals and Religion” for 666 dollars?
;)
Send all students to the private schools of their parents’ choosing.
Unfortunately, I don’t think the author’s premise is correct. There was a shooting at an Amish school in Pennsylvania a few years ago, along with shootings at private universities like Oikos in Oakland, California. It’s a symptom of a deeper national rot.
Ludicrous statement——there aren’t enough private schools.
Public schools are here to stay.
.
If you want to keep your population horribly educated.
Why we had two terms of Ubama:
the Amish school shooting was at a private Amish school
Because they are easier for the government to plan!
Probably because there are simply more of them. IIRC 91% of all kids go to public schools.
Because government schools promote students to be conflicted and unsure of themselves
Because government education promotes atomized, disconnected individuals from belonging to anything, except the authority of the bureaucracy.
Because union rules, liability, and bureaucracy also make teachers disconnected and atomized, and prevent teachers from saying anything about dangerous students
