Deputies called to suspected shooter’s home 39 times over seven years

Before Nikolas Cruz carried out his mass killing at a Florida high school this week, police responded to his home 39 times over a seven-year period, according to disturbing new documents.

Details about the calls to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office — obtained from police records by CNN — were not immediately available and it was impossible to determine if all involved Cruz.

But the nature of the emergencies at his Parkland home included “mentally ill person,” “child/elderly abuse,” “domestic disturbance” and “missing person,” KTLA reported.

And a schoolmate, Brody Speno, told the network that cops were called to Cruz’s home “almost every other week.”

This puts to rest the pity party excuse about his mother’s death...

there that pesky thing about ‘due process’ before depriving someone of their liberty. there’s a high Constitutional bar on that for a reason.

In fact, based on the fact the cops had visited the suspects home DOZENS of times, I would not be surprised one bit if the cop who spotted the suspect walking down the street KNEW the suspect because he had prior contact with him.

My opinion is if he were a poor black kid, he would have been. I read the average home price in Parkland is $600,000.

I wonder where his brother is?

But the cop said he almost didn’t bother because he just looked like a kid walking down the street. But the stakes were high enough...

Florida has the Baker Act where they can detain someone for 72 hours. In the case of Cruz-— 39 times the sheriff was called and never once was the Baker Act enforced upon Cruz.

School was ready to release so gates and doors were open. The school has over 3,000 students. Cruz knew that.

He didn’t almost escape. They knew who he was and where he lived. He didn’t have a vehicle.

“I am losing faith, because of political appointments at the top have destroyed these institutions. It may take years for them to come back. We may want to alter their power, for they are now abusing it.”

And yet, here we have a sycophant running the FBI in the person of Chris Wray. He's evidently “all in” for “protecting” the agency at the expense of getting to the truth about it's leadership. Then there's the issue of “Congressional Oversight!” These a$$holes generally hold a gaggle of hearings, with individual members from both parties out cackling in opposition to each other, making the issues at hand “political,” rather than a joint effort at true fact finding. I do think though, that at the moment, the Republicans are really trying to get to the bottom of the problems, and they are being thwarted by Trump's people, which doesn't speak well for the President. He has made some masterful appointments, but they are interlaced with some real turds (i.e. Sessions, Rosenschmeckel, Wray, Tom Price, Rancid Penis, etc.)

If LE was continually at this kids house for 7 years, how did he get approved for gun purchase.

Because none of those visits resulted in a felony conviction or court ordered mental health commitment.

I’m just talking about what I heard about the cop that stopped him.

I repeat. The cop said he really just looked like a kid walking down the street, but he thought he probably should check him out anyway. And the rest is history.

Nothing more and nothing less. There may be more information. I’m sure there is. I’m just not sure it changes what I said above but merely enhances it.

It was a kid walking down the street, who just happened to match the description including WEARING A BURGUNDY SHIRT less than a mile from the mass murder scene. I would guess that would be a big clue for him.☺

And if the cop actually did say that, he might consider a career with the FBI.

The schools should have at least the same security most police and sheriff offices have.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office is well-respected.

BSO is one of the largest fully accredited Sheriff’s offices in the United States.[4]
