Vice President Mike Pence hit back at “The View” one day after host Joy Behar said that it’s essentially “mental illness” to believe that “Jesus talks to you” and co-host Sunny Hostin added that she’s not so sure she wants her “vice president speaking in tongues and having Jesus speak to him.” "It’s just wrong, and it’s an insult not to me, but to the vast majority of the American people who, like me, cherish their faith,” he said. “My Christianity is the most important thing in my life.” “I just think it demonstrates just how out of touch some in the mainstream media are with the faith and values of the American people that you could have a major network like ABC permit a forum for invective against religion like that,” Pence said. “And I call them out on it. Not because of what was said about me.”
He continued, “But it’s just simply wrong for ABC to have a television program that expresses that kind of religious intolerance.”

I read that Pence was a member of the Grace Evangelical Free Church of Indianapolis.
I attended a EV free church for many years. They are not tongue-speaking Pentecostals. Jesus doesn't "talk" to you, unless He has already spoken in His written word (Bible). EV free members are essentially Baptist, with roots in the Scandavian free church movement).
I hear God’s voice often enough to know he is with me in my daily life . Perhaps you may be a limp brain if you don’t .
I have friends and family who say they had a “calling” and pursued that calling. Now my niece is a nun, a friend chucked his successful business and became a youth minister and another volunteers to help elderly by visiting and running errands for them. All worth while causes. No “tongue” is spoken.

Yesterday’s Ash Wednesday service homily was listening to the voice of Jesus -I guess we are all nuts.
All I could think about when I heard Joy ripping on our VP were songs I have sung in choir that call for us to listen...I guess she has never heard any of them.
