Romney as governor was the worst sort: a guy who took advantage of a sense among the people that a change was needed and pretended to be a “right of center” candidate to get elected and then governed with guaranteed loser lefty policies, tanking his state and reassuring the electorate that voting for republicans is always a bad idea and hence making sure the state stays blue for another decade or two. Schwartzenegger, Romney: same approach, same results.
