And neither will the grandparents, but the taxpayer will pay for all of it: first her hormone treatments, then her surgery to try to appear male, then saving her from her suicide attempt(s), then treating her drug addiction.

Not necessarily.

It is a long shot, especially in today’s political climate, but they could have the teen declared incompetent.

Then all medical decisions would have to be approved by the parents.
