The good news is that the old phrase, “Show me a young man who is not a liberal and I’ll show you a man without a heart, but show me an old man who is a liberal and I’ll show you a man without a brain” actually is fairly truthful.
They are growing up. They are seeing what the liberal policies are doing to their neighborhood and seeing, first hand, how their lives are being hurt by trying to help people that, frankly, don’t want to be helped.
We’ve discussed this stuff. Remember - my daughter was raised by ME. A lot of it really did stick. She just had to find out some of it for herself.
