I mostly agree, but I remember when I was in my late teens (late 60’s and very early 70’s). I remember how my mind worked. I was raised conservative, and quickly returned to it, but I did get wrapped up in all the liberal events that started popping up in our school.

At that age you want to make a difference and when someone says, “hey, lets do a march”, or protest, or walk or whatever, you want to be a part of something so you go for it.

But my heart was really not into it. It was mainly a way to meet chicks. :)
