Not so much as trying to be “fair and balanced”.
To prosecute the case, one has to be diligent, with an open mind as to what reasonable (non-criminal) people might do and then close the door on the (criminal) defendant beyond a reasonable doubt. If I were gambling, I would bet if there were other emails to herself, she did not write them 15 days after the fact as a normal course of operating. And writing it on the way out the door... it doesn’t look good... she was “manufacturing evidence”.
Hopefully, some investigator already questioned others who were in that meeting, or other documents / emails of this meeting were discovered that before this story was released. Not fatal to the case if they were not, but would be preferable.
The other guy I would like to see questioned under oath and in public is Senator Warner for his “no paper trail” attempt at influencing a potential witness (Steele). He is no “by golly hick” Senator. He needs to be removed from the committee if he does not step down.
