Declassified Susan Rice Email: Obama Contemplated Hiding Russia Intel from Incoming Trump (trunc)
Breitbart ^ | Feb 12 2018 | Ian Mason

Two leading Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee released a redacted top secret email Monday that Obama administration National Security Advisor Susan Rice appears to have sent herself just minutes after President Donald Trump took office.

The email contains Rice’s impressions from a January 5, 2017 meeting on “Russian hacking during the 2016 presidential election” between then-President Barack Obama, then-FBI Director James Comey, and “intelligence community leadership.”

According to Rice, President Obama and Comey had a “follow-on conversation” after the formal meeting during which Obama told Comey that “from a national security perspective” he wanted “to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason that we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia.” President Obama then asked Comey to inform him of any changes that would affect how his White House should share classified information with the incoming Trump administration.

And that’s the real constitutional crisis. It’s a wonder the portrait of him released yesterday didn’t have him holding toilet tissue resembling The Constitution

Here are a couple links about the FBI concerned about the copy who spilled the beans about the Lynch-Clinton tarmac meeting. I Googled the words, “FBI cop tarmac meeting”, and got some hits. When the SHTF about the “leak”, there were two other huge things going on, but the FBI’s focus was on this poor cop. Can’t find what I had read about the FBI having more nefarious ideas in mind for the cop.

“But after Observer published an article containing additional details about the encounter, citing an anonymous “security source” who had been present, the FBI and Justice Department moved from damage control to discussions about identifying the source and PUNISHING THAT PERSON, the emails show.”

“They weren’t talking about how irresponsible it was for former Attorney General Loretta Lynch to meet privately with Bill Clinton on the Tarmac while his Wife, Hillary Clinton was under investigation by Lynch’s Justice Department. No, because that is what a legitimate bureau’s reponse would be. As in, a legitimate FBI that had no knowledge that the meeting was going to take place.

“Obama’s FBI was more concerned about damage control, which indicates they knew exactly what was going to happen that day.

“They were worried about the story that came out about how the FBI told reporters not to take photos or video of the meeting. But most of all, the FBI was more concerned over finding the source who talked to the press about the Tarmac meeting than the actual meeting itself.”

The legal significance is that it is evidence that might be used to prosecute her, though her defense lawyers would use it to try to exonerate her.

It appears right now that Rice may have been manufacturing CYA evidence for herself and BHO. The reason for this is that there probably is other evidence that shows how involved they were in the illegal activities against candidate and President-elect Trump. In the event that this was discovered, they needed something (1) to deflect their culpability to some “rogue” investigators and lawyers who “did not lawfully operate” as BHO “instructed” them and (2) to support the narrative that BHO had legitimate, legal concerns that Russia influenced the election by colluding with Trump. But why, how and when they manufactured this piece of evidence is the hook into their skin that just won’t let go.

“If this was a CYA, what was her fear?”

This won’t hurt - it will hurt.

You can trust me - you can’t. Honest people don’t have to tell you....

It’s not about the money - it’s about the money.

This hurts me more than it hurts you - it’s gonna hurt YOU more.

I leaked nothing and absolutely NOT for political reasons - she leaked... for political reasons.

If you read my entire text, I started with the fact that her email content and timing was suspicious. I also ended with it.

I was responding to someone who said they never email themselves.

As will the reporter who blew the whistle on the Phoenix airport meeting

______________

Is he still breathing? I heard a long distance rumor this morning here at FR that the pilot of that "tarmac" flight was murdered.

Somehow I do NOT believe that at all.

In my line of work, on rare occasion I have sent email to myself to document something. Sometimes I write the email using handwritten notes that I had taken from the meeting; then the notes are shredded. But this would be done within a day of the meeting; as you say - it is harder to remember 15 days later and one might be tempted to include facts (subsequently known) or “thoughts” that were never discussed at the meeting.

So yes, 15 days after the meeting raises suspicion. One would need to see her work habits and other emails. For example, I would look at whether she wrote other self-emails about conversations that included BHO, how soon they were written after the meeting. Consider also it would be unusual to write an email to oneself when one knew that they would not be part of the next administration . . . perhaps in hours from the actual writing. Why would she still(be) thinking about that meeting 15 days after it occurred and she was going out the door?

Finally, Benghazi should come back to “haunt” (impeach) her on this issue - her (lack of) credibility and tendency to lie on official government matters has already been established.

_______________

Beautifully said, if I may add.
