The budget that President Trump proposed Monday takes a hard whack at the poorest Americans, slashing billions of dollars from food stamps, public health insurance and federal housing vouchers, while trying to tilt the programs in more conservative directions.
The spending plan reaches beyond the White Houses own power over the government social safety net and presumes lawmakers will overhaul long-standing entitlement programs for the poor in ways beyond what Congress so far has been willing to do.
The changes call on lawmakers to eliminate the expansion of Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act and transform the rest of that program into a system of capped payments to states; convert food assistance into a hybrid of commodity deliveries and traditional cash benefits; and expand requirements that low-income people work to qualify for federal assistance.
Were very encouraged by their approach to reforming the welfare state, both to taxpayers and the people on these programs, said Akash Chougule, director of policy for the libertarian group Americans for Prosperity. Were encouraged by the presidents rhetoric and recent actions.
Congress has final say over spending but Mondays budget proposal is seen as an important sign of Trumps priorities.
Specifically, the Trump budget proposal would gut the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), better known as food stamps, by $17.2 billion in 2019 equivalent to 22 percent of the programs total cost last year and implement a boxed food delivery program, a system that White House budget director Mick Mulvaney compared to Blue Apron.

In other words, these multigenerational welfare leeches will then have to spend time attaining some sort of job skills, looking for work and working instead of hanging out, screwing, and using drugs. Boo hoo.

The press will equate more efficient delivery of services as cuts.
Alternatives to existing programs will not be presented as trying a different approach.
And the press will fail to mention Clinton did the same work for welfare program.

Gawd, whatevah did peoples do before FDR stuck his big fat nose in personal business?
Because, you know, the US was a poor destitute country with no resources or economy before FDR handed out welfare and make-work and medical care - or before he mugged us for money that might be given back later.

Personally say YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!, but see this as leftist scare tactics to get the Democrat base to the polls for the mid term election.

Trump wants to overhaul Americas safety net with giant cuts to housing, food stamps and health care
Partner, we have a bloated budget after the America Hating Imposter Mooselimb approved of all the bloated budgets that were first done by Nancy Pelousy and then the drunkard John Boehner got into the act of never really passing a budget and then Paul Ryno has never ever passed a budget.
The Food Stamp program was budgeted at around $40 Billion Dollars when W. handed the reins to the America Hating Obama and I quit counting when it went all the way up to $135 Billion. This is beyond shameful!!!
I do not remember what it was for housing but it is another budget buster.
We know Medicaid has gone thru the roof.
I do not know where the budget is on the folks that got Social Security checks because they were only say 30 years old and able to work but they claimed S.S. checks. This is more outrageous stuff that the American Hating Imposter Mooseblimb Obama put into the budget.
We still can not figure out why the Republicans do not shout at the top of their lungs about the $1 Trillion dollars that has already been spent on the Infrastructure program throughout the U.S.A. and yet not one single shovel ready job was materialize because it went to the America Hating Obama's political friends. "How do you like them apples."
During the American Hating Obama regime as we recall there was big time fraud by govmint agencies and it really went into overdrive every single year the America Hating Obama was in office. How did that happen??? We all know about the Bravo Sierra that went down. The sad part is that we never got a "true govmint audit" during the American Hating Obama regime.
This is so insane and this is what President Trump who is not a politician getting a $1 Dollar a year salary and going into work punctually every single day at 6:30 a.m. and leaving at 6:00 p.m. had had to put up with.
We are so glad that he uses Twitter to go after the "Giant Sixth Grade Brain Journalists" every single day since 98% voted for that witch Hillary Clintoon and they were shedding tears for Hillary Clintoon the night that she lost big time.
The Tax Cuts (personal and business) alone will give us huge revenues coming in to the IRS treasury and we know these facts already.
President Trump will now go after cutting the bloated budgets.
A lot of Freepers already know the facts about the condition of our govmint fiscal discipline these past 28 years.

GOOD!
There's so damned much stealing/lying/corruption going on with these programs, that's it's beyond ridiculous! Cut them to the bone and if those on them squeal...cut them some more!
