RUSH: Folks, I dont know how Im gonna do this. They had the official portrait unveiling today of Barack Hussein O and Michelle (My Belle) O, and I said, Oh. My. And so did the audience, when one of these portraits was unveiled. They did it at the Smithsonian. Now, I remember when the official portrait of Bill and the witch ah, sorry Hillary Clinton were unveiled. They did it at the White House. They had it in one of the rooms in the White House.
George Bush welcomed the Clintons in and all of their buddies and smack-dab right there in the front row was Harvey Weinstein. Ill never forget it. Weinstein was sitting there looking all proud and smug that he had made it in that high, that far. But the ceremony was in the White House. This ceremony today was over at the Smithsonian. And they took a break. I was watching on both Fox and CNN. CNN took a little break cause of course they had to have their four analysts Im sorry anchor and three analysts weigh in on it. And what do you think we got? Some guy named Fallon. I dont remember his first name. Hes a supposed CNN contributor, analyst. Well, he didnt cry, but it was (imitating Fallon), Oh, my God, this is so wonderful, to have braininess back, to have intelligence, to have people we can be proud of, the people that can unite us.

I knew it was gonna happen. So I was steeled for it. I was ready for it. But you people in the Drive-Bys are so predictable. Barack was sitting there with his head in the air like he always did, just above everything, while Michelle was going on and on and on about this artist that she found, who is a social justice artist, whatever that means. They unveiled a portrait and, you know, Brian, I wasnt you got it in there? All right. Flash it. All right. Here you go, folks. This is it. Untouched, undoctor. If youre watching the Dittocam, there it is, that is the official portrait of Michelle Obama.
This is hard. I feel sorry. I mean, you zoom in on that, and you know what? Im gonna let it speak for itself. I dont need to characterize this. I really dont. Theres not a thing I could add once you get a look at this. Well, I know the people that cant see it are gonna have to find a way to see it, either become a subscriber at RushLimbaugh.com thats not a cheesy sales pitch or find it some other way. Well link to it at RushLimbaugh.com, well do that.
I cant sit here and say the only way you can see this is become a member of the website. (interruption) Thats what Im saying. Im not gonna describe her, Mr. Snerdley. Youre trying to lure me into a trap here. You want me to set the media off. You want me blow them up so that Ill be the lead story for next hour or two after I do it. Im not going there. This thing speaks for itself.
Ill just tell you, Ive seen presidential portraits cause I have been in the White House. Ive walked the hallways, and theres a bunch of them there, and this dont even get close to any of the I mean, in style, Im talking about. Forget artistic talent, just in style. I dont know, what would you call that? To me, Im not an artiste, and Im not therefore a credentialed, qualified reviewer of art. Art, to me, is if I like it, fine. If I dont, you know, I dont see a whole lot of things that arent there.
Just like Im not into poetry. Poetry is symbolism. Just tell me the way it is. You know, I dont want to have to weed through a bunch of . Thats why Shakespeare never really appealed. Shakespeare is philosophy in prose and Id rather go read the translation of it, cause Im just get in, get it, and get out. Theres some things I like the process of, but this to me looks I dont know, faded watercolors. It doesnt look like thats it. Im going no further. Other than to say Im sorry.

Now, I havent lost my place. Im gonna get to the Olympics and so forth. These guys talk about how wonderful it is to have Obama back, so wonderful, Barack and Michelle, so smart and theyre so sensitive, and theyre so nuanced. It didnt matter what they said, didnt matter what they did, it was the way they looked and the way they spoke and everybody healed.

RUSH: Were gonna switch to the official portrait of Barack Hussein O. Go ahead and switch over there, Brian. (interruption) Look at that. Im sorry. I dont mean to be teasing or tempting those of you who do not have Dittocam service. But what in the world is that? Okay, Ive gotta describe this. Its Barack Obama sitting on what looks like a wooden throne without a high back, and hes sitting on that throne as you might sit on yours. Except that this throne looks like its up against the ivy outfield wall at Wrigley Field.
It looks like hes out there in the weeds. Hes in a forest, and the look on his In my very unartistic estimation, its a better facial reproduction of Barack, but he doesnt look happy. Is that right? (interruption) He looks kind of grim in the (interruption) Is that right? Trying to look serious, studious and so forth. Michelle (My Belle) Obama doesnt look happy, either, but that doesnt mean much. These portraits people trying to look serious and very serious. But this Ill tell you one thing: These two portraits are gonna stand out in the White House. Youre not gonna be able to miss these on portrait row. I cannot I just cant.

Cover of Styx “Grand Illusion”.
fitting.
As others have noted, the Mooch’s portrait looks more like one of those over-shaded high school pencil drawings (and the woman who painted it has zero fashion sense; her skirt looks like the tailor forgot to trim off a bunch of the fabric before it was assembled).
Obongo’s painting has some odd elements to it. In no particular order: the flowers among the greenery are oddly symmetrically placed. It’s almost like one of those “magic eye” pictures. The setting itself is almost surrealist, with an ornate wooden chair surrounded by some kind of ivy (except that ivy doesn’t flower like that). The way the greenery envelops the chair, it sure looks like it’s back in a corner. Then, you have Obongo sitting out on the edge of the chair, which to my mind conveys the impression that he feels like he isn’t supposed to be there; it’s not his chair or he’s uncomfortable sitting back into the chair. With the leaves covering his legs and feet, it’s as though he’s fading into the background, and the message I get is that he’s not the most important thing in the picture.
All in all, very odd imagery.
Who’s the Mexican woman?
Rush seemed so afraid to remark on the painting, he may as well had not brought them up at all.
Maybe certain sponsors are at stake if he calls Michelle a fat, frumpy, facist freak!
Official portrait. Not even trying to disguise himself.
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
portrait: picture, likeness, image
Looking again at Obongo’s picture, I just realized why it looks so odd: there’s no depth there (a fitting metaphor for his presidency if ever there was one). The chair looks completely flat because of the way some of the greenery covers it in places, and the way the greenery covers his right leg yet doesn’t cover the right-front leg of the chair (left front for the viewer).
Why does Obozo look like he’s taking a dump in a bank of poison Ivy? And who is that gray women?
I think the artist failed to fully capture the Michelle scowl. She’s got perma-frown when she’s set for life and shouldn’t have a care in the world. Maybe she suffers from constipation and after drinking bottles of colon-blow and assplosion just can’t get the job done? Maybe one of those federally mandated school lunches would do the trick?
And, WTF is Barry the bastard doing in that picture? Is this a hallucination scene from one of his MJ smoking binges, or has he moved on to meth? It has got to be the latter - he isn’t smiling and may have one of those ‘faces of meth’ dental jobs in the works.
Speaking of jobs - where Reggie? Shouldn’t he be in the picture too with a bar of soap and a come hither look on his face?
They look like something wed see at a starving artist show.
It is very strange. The width of the seat back is much narrower than the seat. What kind of ‘artist’ would not be aware of that, or would do it intentionally?
It’s poor artistic ability is what’s wrong with the chair. Barack Obama is okay, more comic book looking character with oversized hands. It’s not against a background of Ivy though, it’s fricken in the Ivy. Makes me think WTF? Michelles is a much prettier looking than real life, the skin is lightened and the hair straightened (like she kept it in real life). It reminds me that most successful black women keep their hair straightened. I think it’s vanity.
Much of the greenery looks cloned.
These are the not the official WH portraits but rather the set for the Smith/National Portrait Gallery. Rush is correct in his description however. That looks more like Omorasa than Michelle.
Reminds me of the bushes he likely hid in as a teenager aiting to service older men in exchange for drugs.
Perfectly matched pair. Idiotic portraits for idiotic people.
Poor Rush evidently knows nothing about art. Which is fine; I listen for the political commentary.
