Journalists pushed back against President Trump's tweet Saturday saying people's lives are being destroyed by "a mere allegation," a comment that sparked backlash on social media.
Trump decried how people's "lives are being shattered and destroyed be a mere allegation" after two White House aides abruptly resigned this week following claims of past domestic abuse.
While Trump did not mention any specific allegations, he wrote: "Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new. There is no recovery for someone falsely accused - life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?"

He is absolutely correct. His great sin, what makes him utter poison to our system, is that Trump speaks the truth about our structural deceits and hypocrisies.
I can’t get past the black eye. And this info came out during the routine FBI background checks. The ex-wives didn’t go on The View. And Porter had told Kelly what would be discovered. That’s why he never got his security clearance.
Can we stick to the subject here? Should the president be defending Rob Porter?
Should we use allegation and accusation to destroy people’s lives without due process?

When I said this same thing (What Trump tweeted) just a week ago on FR I was flamed to a crisp.
I was told that courts don’t work, and they are just liberal agenda machines designed to rule from the bench.
Here is the truth though : The truth lies between those two sentiments. As a conservative we need to follow the rule of established law. At the same time, we are trusting a broken car to drive us across the country. No one seems to be winning until a major overhaul is accomplished.
