That sad map makes me think of this old joke.
A Texan saw his neighbor loading furniture into a U-Haul truck. Later, he saw him go to his truck and stick two tortillas through his radio antenna. “What’re you doing that for?” he asked. His neighbor answered, “I’m gonna drive north until someone asks me ,’What are those things on your antenna?’ That’ll be my next hometown.”

One of the retired firefighters hubby worked with wound up in a small burg in Missouri somewhere. Hubby asked him why he went there. He said he just kept driving until when he stopped he didn’t hear someone speaking Spanish anymore.
