WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday blocked the release of a classified memo written by House of Representatives Democrats that rebutted a Republican document made public last week which alleged anti-Trump bias in the FBI’s Russia probe.

Why are you disappointed? You want classified information unclassified by the president to satisfy the Dems? They could have written a clean memo without any damaging classified information if they’d wanted. That will probably be his early morning tweet, that they should not expect him to declassify sources and methods.

I know a woman who had her divorce rescinded because the document had misspelling. She wanted more time and this got it for her. Judge null and voided it.

The Democrats doing what they accused Republicans of.

Why am I not surprised?

Because the only surprise would be if they *didn't* behave that way. They've been doing that for so long, I doubt they can imagine behaving any other way.

“Now they can fall all over themselves on cable news accusing the President of not being transparent”

Aww.. will Schumer cry again? This breaks my heart /s

“Did they put info in the memo that they knew would preclude Trump from releasing it?”

That would be interesting concept. Make it un-releaseable, and then you have the talking point that Big Bad Trump won’t let the country see it.

Maybe not tears, but a good bit of whining.

They’ve had their response to this written for a week.

“The President’s double standard when it comes to transparency is appalling,” Sen. Chuck Schumer said in a statement. “The rationale for releasing the Nunes memo, transparency, vanishes when it could show information that’s harmful to him. Millions of Americans are asking one simple question: what is he hiding?”

I want to hear what they have to say. At this point it’s just a circus. And do we really have any secrets left?

Schumers pre-planned response...

"The President's double standard when it comes to transparency is appalling," Sen. Chuck Schumer said in a statement. "The rationale for releasing the Nunes memo, transparency, vanishes when it could show information that's harmful to him. Millions of Americans are asking one simple question: what is he hiding?"

And of course, Schiffs eyes were also pre-bugged...

"The Democratic response sets out the material facts that were necessary for the public to see that the FBI acted properly in seeking a FISA warrant on Carter Page," Schiff said in a statement. "After promising to treat the Democratic response in precisely the same way, the White House now seeks to have the Democratic memo sent back to committee and revised by the same Majority that produced the flawed Nunes document to begin with."

Thanks for the letter. Release of the Dem memo was objected to by Rosenstein and Wray.

Once the memo is released in the redacted version, the Democrats will say the content has been altered to water down what the Democrats claim is true. It is a win win for Schiff

No, Schiff has to redact and he has to get Rosentstein's approval.

But Schiff is out there claiming that the Republicans get to rewrite it.

Reuters mistakenly has “to” Rod Rosenstein?

The White House also released a letter sent to McGahn by FBI Director Christopher Wray and to Rod Rosenstein, the No. 2 Justice Department official

I saw the headline and I smiled.

Me, too. I’ve been avoiding the news all night because I saw no reason to subject myself to RAT propaganda. Now, I needn’t have worried. Let the RATS hyper-ventilate. Hah!!!!

Yup, now you know why the Deep State wanted Low Energy Jeb! so much.

Boy, they sure did!
I just finished rewatching the primary debates on YouTube, and there’s one debate where it seems like the entire audience is repeatedly booing Trump, and cheering Jeb!. Trump just points out that they’re the donors, and mocks them to their faces.

________
Duh.

If POTUS releases, he’s “committing treason by releasing classified information”.

If POTUS doesn’t release, “he’s acting in a partisan manner to protect himself from the Mueller probe.”

I think POTUS just had WH Counsel bat a live grenade back at them.
