...Just as the dossiers credibility began to wanenone of the allegations regarding Trump have been verifieda New York Times article from Dec. 30, 2017 corrected the record to show that the FBIs inquiry into the Trump teams possible ties to Russia in fact had nothing to do with the Steele dossier, or Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, as the paper had been reporting for the past year. No, it began after a meeting between Papadopoulos and the Australian ambassador to the United Kingdom, Alexander Downer, in a London bar, back in May 2016. At that meeting, Papadopoulos, who, according to the Times, was in contact with Russian figures who were apparently connected to official Russian channels, told Downer that he had inside information the Russians were about to release thousands of emails damaging to Hillary Clinton. After the hacked DNC emails appeared in June and July, according to the Times, the Australians decided to pass on news of Papadopouloss boasts to their American counterparts.
Todd asked Brennan if the intelligence on Papadopoulos came through the C.I.A. via the Five Eyes thing, referring to the intelligence-sharing relationship between the five English-speaking powers, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Brennans response, though, went off-script.
He wasnt going to get into details about how it was acquired, he explained. But the F.B.I. has a very close relationship with its British counterparts. And so the F.B.I. had visibility into a number of things that were going on involving some individuals who may have had some affiliation with the Trump campaign.
British counterparts?

That is what happened, but it happened after Papa was arrested in July 2017, long after his connection with the campaign ended.
And USC 8, Sec. 1401 is the law you believe applies, right?
His own grandmother (in Kenya - his fathere's mother) says she remembers when & where he was born in Kenya.
Oh, and the whole flat earth thing is really just a joke people are engaging in. None are serious about the claim.
Actually she didn't say that. That's a long debunked birther "fact".
"Oh, and the whole flat earth thing is really just a joke people are engaging in. None are serious about the claim."
I'd like to think so.
No. The Constitution applies. But it was the common law even before it was written in the Constitution.
Just saying "the Constitution" doesn't cut it. You have to be much more specific. Which article/section of the Constitution, in particular, applies?
Someday we will all learn the truth, but if he were really born in Hawaii why was he so hesitant to bring forth the proof of his Hawaiian birth? Why did he have all of his college transcripts sealed. No, he is hiding something.
If you choose to trust politfact, Snopes and the rest of these so-called fact checking organizations, that is your right.
I also suspect you believe he is a Christian as well.
Yes, some truth, some lies...murky indeed.
I am completely stunned by this reporting from Tablet. And, It is surprising that this angle has been virtually missed by everyone. Good catch. Thanks for the link.
All of these questions have been answered ad-nauseum in many birther threads over many years. He didn't have his transcripts "sealed". He didn't show hesitation to bring forth proof. Some nonsensical cases were started by crackpots, requiring his lawyers to deal with them. Which they did. It wasn't until Trump got involved and made it news that he bothered. That's not hiding something, that's just not caring what some crackpots are doing.
