What is in the 650-plus page bill? I just read a bit and seems no one is really talking details beyond “increases”. Does it fund Planned Parenthood? Public Broadcasting? Etc. Does it have limits as well, like one of the previous tried to box Trump in on immigration? Seems like this is “funding” but without the details that are likely politically sensitive if people were paying attention. Anybody read a summary of what is/isn’t included?
To follow tomorrow.
Rand has just made sure this will be seen as a Republican shutdown.
The media will run with that as far as they can, and it could conceivably impact the elections this fall.
I don’t like parts of this bill either. I’m not convinced it’s a good idea to force a shutdown.
Paul will look good to some Conservatives, but he’s going to be savaged by the media, and the party will get major blow-back.
The shutdown a few weeks ago was blamed on the Democrats, and that will not be remembered a week from now.
Paul just reset the situation, and it’s not going to put us in a good light.

Not that I’m complaining, far from it, but it is surprising that Lyn’ Ted is completely silent in past weeks and really month or so. About the time that members of Congress predatory behaviors were being outed. Figure might be related. Else, Lyn’ Ted finally realized no one likes him and everything he touches ends in failure, and has finally decided to STFU. Good riddance to him and his lies and backstabbing. Anyway, just musing at the welcomed silence from Lyn’ Ted.
It’s only an additional $1 trillion on our kids and grandkids credit card.
Texas secede. only recourse besides full out cw. Texans, support #texit.
I’m pulling for a shutdown, but I want it to last at least a week. I have to go to a conference in Arlington next week and was hoping for light traffic!
The combination of these 3 letters should be banned on FR.
